The South Dakota Symphony Orchestra brings the music of Broadway to Sioux Falls with Wicked Divas on October 21 & 22.

Featuring Elphaba and Glinda from the Broadway production of Wicked, the concert takes audiences on a high-flying journey through the music of Wicked, Frozen, Phantom of the Opera, and more with full orchestra.

Joining the orchestra are Broadway stars Nicole Parker as Elphaba and Alli Mauzey as Glinda who are well-versed in being "wicked" as both have performed in Broadway's production and the First National Tour of Wicked. "Bewitching, beguiling, bedazzling - it was all of that and more as two "witches" from Broadway wove a magic spell no one wanted to break," wrote the Grand Rapids Herald.

Best known for her portrayal of Elphaba in the Broadway production of Wicked, Parker's other Broadway credits include Martin Short: Fame Becomes Me and The People in the Picture with Donna Murphy. Regionally, Nicole played Juliet in The Second City's Romeo and Juliet Musical at Chicago Shakespeare Theater, for which she received a Jeff Award nomination. She also appeared as Rosemary in How to Succeed In Business Without Really Trying at the Reprise Theater, and Pamina in The Magic Flute at the Falcon Theater. For six years, Nicole was also a cast member and contributing writer on Fox's MADtv. Film credits include Funny People, directed by Judd Apatow as well as the short films Weathered and Sitting Babies.

Mauzey last appeared on Broadway as Glinda in the 10th Anniversary Company of Wicked, a role she has performed to critical acclaim on the First National Tour and the San Francisco Company. Mauzey's other Broadway credits include Lenora in the musical Cry-Baby, and Brenda in Hairspray both on Broadway and in the original company of the First National Tour. Alli made her New York City Center Encores! debut in the role of Sydney in It's a Bird...It's a Plane...It's Superman and recently starred in the Off-Broadway production of Red Eye of Love. Regionally, she has appeared as Mallory in City of Angels for Reprise!, Snookie in 110 in the Shade at the Pasadena Playhouse, and Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors at The Muny for which she was nominated for a Kevin Kline Award.

The South Dakota Symphony Orchestra performs Wicked Divas on Saturday, October 21 at 7:30 PM and Sunday, October 22 at 2:30 PM at the Washington Pavilion in downtown Sioux Falls. Tickets start at $22 and can be purchased online at sdsymphony.org or by calling the Washington Pavilion box office at (605) 367-6000.
