Ek Mulaqaat, a love between poets, a marriage of words. The crumpled pages of a musty poetry book hold the story of two of Indias famous poets—Sahir Ludhianvi and legendary Punjabi author Amrita Pritam. A heartwarming tale of their unfulfilled love.
Ek Mulaqaat talks about the intense aspect of the relationship between Amrita Pritam and Sahir Ludhianvi. The story is suffused with literary references and nazms (a major genre of Urdu poetry) and poetry of the legendary duo. It is a story of two hours in their lives and ends with a great twist. Unrequited love was never so poetic.
In today’s times of frantic messaging and consummation, here is a relationship that is nourished in dignity and pathos. Ek Mulaqaat is a musical tribute to the poetic genius of Sahir and Amrita. Enjoy the passion!
