The ritualistic ceremonies of the Afro-Brazilian candomblé religion have distinctly shaped the musical soundscape of Brazil, influencing many contemporary styles. Not only can it be heard in the temples but also in the vibrant and colourful carnival settings and stages across Brazil. Journey into a world of Brazilian music and the vivacious Brazilian life spirit through songs and grooves derived from the sacred traditions of Candomblé.

Alafia is an intercultural project between master drummer Dudu Tucci (Sao Paulo/Berlin) and Bloco Singapura, featuring the enchanting voice of Mariana Viana (Salvador, Bahia).
