In 2020, pre-Covid, Sydney Theatre Company staged NO PAY? NO WAY!, Marieke Hardy’s adaptation of Dario Fo and Franca Rame’s political farce SOTTO PAGA! NON SI PAGA! This production, directed by Sarah Giles has been given an encore season with new performers stepping into three of the five roles, resulting in an even more captivating and comical evening of theatre that resonates even louder in the current economic climate.
Broadway fans had plenty of reasons to celebrate this year, with dozens of shows having opened since January, hundreds of actors having made their debuts, and many more having returned to the stage for critically acclaimed performances. Not all news was good though, as we also suffered a loss of an incredible amount of talent.

IT'S ALIVE! From Mel Brooks and the creators of the record-breaking Broadway sensation The Producers comes the new monster musical comedy Young Frankenstein, opening September 12 at Lakewood Theatre Company. Performances continue through October 19, 2014. Young Frankenstein features story by Mel Brooks and Thomas Meehan and music and lyrics by Brooks. It is based on the 1974 comedy film of the same name written by Brooks and Gene Wilder and directed by Brooks, who has described it as his best film. BroadwayWorld has a sneak peek at the cast below!
Thirty years after directing and choreographing the Odyssey Theatre's award-winning West Coast premiere, and following a wildly successful off-Broadway revival at the York Theatre last season, Bill Castellino reunites with musical director Gerald Sternbach to charm audiences with a revitalized, updated version of Ionescopade at the Odyssey Theatre, beginning May 31. Martin Lynch and Lisa May direct Lynch's Edinburgh Festival hit Chronicles of Long Kesh, running at the Tricycle Theatre from 15 March until 17 April, with press night on 16 March 2010. Set and costume designs are by David Craig, with lighting design by Conleth White. Chronicles of Long Kesh is produced by Green Shoot Theatre productions.
