Election day is quickly approaching and the company of Hamilton is making sure that your voice is heard. Just yesterday, the show registered voters from all 50 states outside of the Richard Rodgers Theatre. Commissioned by Alexander Hamilton in 1790, August 4th  marked the anniversary of the founding of the US Coast Guard.  To commemorate the occasion members of the Broadway musical Hamilton joined Capt. Matthew Meilstrup for a ride-in of the Cutter Eagle up the Hudson River.  

On July 21st, the students of Broadway Artists Alliance of NYC were tearfully overjoyed by a surprise visit from Hamilton star Renee Elise Goldsberry. Recently winning a Tony Award and Grammy for her role as Angelica Schuyler, Goldsberry spoke about the incredible journey that Hamilton has taken from workshopping a concept, to performing at The Public and moving to the Richard Rodgers Theatre, to earning 16 Tony nominations and winning a Pulitzer Prize. The 6th Annual Elly Awards Luncheon was hosted earlier this afternoon by The Women's Forum of New York benefiting The Education Fund of the Women's Forum. At yesterday's performance of HAMILTON, Lin-Manuel Miranda and Christopher Jackson were visited backstage at the Richard Rodgers Theatre by former IN THE HEIGHTS co-stars Mandy Gonzalez and Priscilla Lopez. Miranda posted a photo of their visit on Twitter, along with the caption 'The Rosarios came back home.' - check it out below!

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, Javier Muñoz - Lin-Manuel Miranda's alternate in the Tony Award-winning musical Hamilton on Broadway and the actor who portrayed AlexanderHamilton when President Barack Obama saw Hamilton last July - will step into the title role starting July 11 at the Richard Rodgers Theatre (226 W. 46 St.), it has been announced byHamilton producer Jeffrey Seller. Mr. Miranda's final performance in the Broadway production is set for July 9.

Could there have been a happier bunch last night than the cast and creative team of HAMILTON? The show took home a whopping eleven Tony Awards, giving the company plenty to celebrate after the festivities concluded at the Beacon Theatre.
