Waitress continues on a winning streak at Broadway's Brooks Atkinson Theatre, once again breaking the weekly gross sales record by bringing in $1,381,419.90 for the 8-performance week ending on Easter Sunday (April 16, 2017). The previous record, $1,331,954.30, was set with the nine (9) performance week ending January 1, 2017.

Last night Waitress composer Sara Bareilles made her much anticipated Broadway debut in her own show, taking over the starring role of Jenna from the recently departed Jessie Mueller. She is joined by TV star Chris Diamantopoulos as Dr. Pomatter and beloved Broadway leading man and Tony Award nominee Will Swenson as Earl. The holiday season is not complete without the perfect music to accompany it. Just yesterday, WAITRESS star Jessie Mueller and director Diane Paulus visited Ann Taylor's Rockefeller Center store (600 Fifth Avenue at 48th Street) to share their story and perform from the show. Ann Taylor and WAITRESS just launched a partnership at anntaylor.com featuring the two women in a series of portraits and a video.

Just yesterday, Tony-winning star Jessie Mueller and Grammy-nominated composer/lyricist Sara Bareilles and the cast of WAITRESS stopped by Manhattan's Upper East Side Barnes & Noble (150 E. 86th Street) , to celebrate the release of the show's cast album. The company not only performed songs from the show, but signed CDs for fans, and you can check out photos from the special day below!

Based upon the 2007 motion picture written by Adrienne Shelly, Waitress began performances on March 25 and opened April 24 at Broadway's Brooks Atkinson Theatre (256 West 47th Street).
