ChaShaMa held a kick-off party celebrating BroadwayHD, the premiere theater streaming service, at Anita's Way in Times Square.

Alton Fitzgerald White, the charismatic, multi-talented singer/actor/dancer, and star of Broadway's phenomenal, long-running, The Lion King (2002-2015), was the very special guest of the Harlem School of the Arts, ARTMakers series.

Odyssey New York Magazine presented the 2015 Odyssey Nightlife Awards at a star-studded gala this past Friday, January 15th at XL New York. RUTHLESS! Volunteers of America-Greater New York (VOA-GNY) have launched OPERATION BACKPACK 2015, its annual drive to collect new backpacks filled with brand new, grade-specific school supplies for thousands of children living in New York City's homeless and domestic violence shelters. Broadway actress Paige Davis has been the spokesperson for OPERATION BACKPACK for the past ten years. This year, with family homelessness at an all-time high, the organization's goal is to outfit 20,000 New York City children with backpacks in time for the first day of the school year. Fire Island Dance Festival returned for its 21st edition July 17-19, 2015, with some of the most talked-about world-class dance companies, raising a record-breaking $544,555 for Dancers Responding to AIDS, a program of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. The festival, performed outdoors on the picture-perfect shores of the Great South Bay in Fire Island Pines, included the world premieres of five works. Scroll down for photos from the performances!

Theater Breaking Through Barriers (TBTB) launches its 2015 season with a revival of Agatha Christie's rarely seen 1958 thriller THE UNEXPECTED GUEST, currently in preview prior to opening Sunday, April 19 at Theatre Row's Clurman Theatre (410 West 42nd Street) in Manhattan. Victoria Rauch-Lichterman directs the production for TBTB, the critically acclaimed theatre company dedicated to advancing artists with disabilities and changing the image of people with disabilities from dependence to independence.
