Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater presents August Wilson's Seven Guitars. Tazewell Thompson (Arena's Jubilee) will direct this Tony Award-nominated play. Set in 1940s Pittsburgh, seven lives are interconnected when old friend and blues singer Floyd Barton vows to turn his life around after a surprise windfall leaves him hopeful for a second chance.

Now celebrating its 18th year, the annual production of THE MANOR has become a Los Angeles/Beverly Hills institution with several performances selling out even before tickets go on sale to the public. Its popularity, no doubt, is due to the scandalous true story as told by the talented actors who each inhabit their characters to a tee, costumed to time-period perfection, as well as the chance to be inside the grand and glorious architectural landmark in which the events of 91 years ago actually took place, performed in two acts taking place 10 years apart. The names of all characters in the tragic Doheny family saga have been changed, of course, a?oeto protect the guiltya?? as we are told before the play begins by the mansion's loyal butler, James, portrayed this year by David Hunt Stafford who also produces the show for Theatre 40 in association with The City of Beverly Hills.

With a full party band, an old school DJ and a school dance photographer - Marty Thomas threw a  “second chance prom” and invited all who are moved by the gesture to dress in their finest for an evening of music, dancing and reminiscing.

Second Thought Theatre(STT) presents the second show in our 7th season: Red Light Winter by Adam Rapp. This dark, edgy story tells the tale of two friends, Matt and Davis, who take off to the Netherlands and find themselves thrown into a bizarre love triangle with a beautiful prostitute named Christina. The romance they find in Europe is eventually overshadowed by the truth they discover at home. This production contains strong sexual content and prolonged male and female nudity.

Veteran humorist and playwright, Justin Moran, launched 'Spiderman Smackdown', a guerilla theatre project to write, rehearse, and perform a fully realized musical based on the character Spiderman in under 30 days with a budget of $0. Yesterday, May 11th film producer Ted Kurdyla took over the off-Broadway theatre 45 Bleecker Street to present a reading of Vincent Gogliormella and Charles Messina's screenplay ‘TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE A BROOKLYN CHRISTMAS. The event was geared towards the many members of the industry that have expressed interest in the very buzzed about comedy. Both film and Broadway investors were in attendance.
