Charley's Aunt Photos - West End

Centenary Stage Company's family holiday spectacular opens this weekend with everyone's favorite orphan in Annie the musical. Annie opens Friday November 23 and runs through December 9 at the Lackland Performing Arts Center at 715 Grand Ave. Hackettstown, NJ. Based on the popular comic strip by Harold Gray, Annie has become a worldwide phenomenon and was the winner of seven Tony Awards, including Best Musical. The beloved book and score by Tony Award winners, Thomas Meehan, Charles Strouse and Martin Charnin, features some of the greatest musical theatre hits ever written, including 'Tomorrow.'

Laguna Playhouse Artistic Director Ann E. Wareham is thrilled to announce the third show in the Laguna Playhouse 2016-2017 season, CHAPATTI, written by Christian O'Reilly and directed by David Ellenstein, based on the direction of Judith Ivey. "I just fell in love with this play and the beautiful and quirky love story at its center.  I think our audiences are about to fall in love with it too," says Wareham.  CHAPATTI will begin previews on Wednesday, January 11; will open on Sunday, January 15 at 5:30pm and will run through Sunday, January 29, 2016 at the Laguna Playhouse, 606 Laguna Canyon Road in Laguna Beach.

Jamie Lloyd's third production for Trafalgar Transformed is the multi award-winning The Pride, written by Alexi Kaye Campbell. Starring Hayley Atwell (Captain America, Life of Crime, The Faith Machine, A View from the Bridge) as Sylvia, Harry Hadden-Paton(Posh, She Stoops to Conquer, Flare Path) as Philip, Al Weaver (Inadmissible Evidence, Coram Boy, Hamlet) as Oliver and Mathew Horne (Gavin and Stacey, Bad Education, Charley's Aunt) as The Man/Peter/The Doctor, The Pride follows the critically acclaimed The Hothouse, starring Simon Russell Beale and John Simm, which continues at the Trafalgar Studios until 3 August 2013 and Macbethwith James McAvoy.

Berkshire Theatre Group presents Bernard Slade's Same Time, Next Year at The Fitzpatrick Main Stage in Stockbridge, Opening Night tonight, July 25 at 8pm. Previews began July 23 at 8pm and the show will close on August 10 at 8pm. BroadwayWorld has a first look at the cast in action below!

Stephanie Rothenberg leads the cast of Roman Holiday as Princess Anne-a radiant young woman in Rome on a widely publicized European tour who sneaks away from her royal duties to explore the city. Rothenberg recently made her Broadway debut stepping into the role of Rosemary in the Tony-nominated revival of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. Edward Watts plays Joe Bradley-a handsome, crafty American newspaper reporter who charms the princess. Watts most recently appeared in the long-running production of The Fantasticks in New York City. The Guthrie Theater, now in previews for the critically acclaimed play Time Stands Still by Donald Margulies, welcomed the Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright to the final rehearsal and first preview last weekend, Friday and Saturday, April 6 and 7. This marks the first time that a production of Margulies' work has been staged at the Guthrie. Check out the photos of the playwright at rehearsals below!

Television, film and stage actress Harriet Harris (Television: 'Desperate Housewives' and 'Frasier;' Film: Nurse Betty, Memento; Guthrie: The Glass Menagerie, A Midsummer Night's Dream; Broadway: Thoroughly Modern Millie) and stage and film actor Simon Jones (Television: 'Brideshead Revisited;' Broadway: Blithe Spirit; Guthrie: Shadowlands, The Home Place) will lead the cast as Judith and David Bliss-the matriarch and patriarch of the peculiar Bliss family. Rounding out the family are John Skelley as Simon (Guthrie: Charley's Aunt) and Cat Walleck in her Guthrie debut as Sorel. Check out the cast photos below!

Michael Attenborough directs Eduardo De Filippo's Filumena in a new English version by Tanya Ronder running at the Almeida from 15 March - 12 May 2012, with press night on 22 March at 7pm. Designs are by Robert Jones, with lighting by Tim Mitchell and sound by John Leonard. Filumena is sponsored by Pinsent Masons.
