LA MIRADA THEATRE FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS & McCOY RIGBY ENTERTAINMENT (celebrating its 25th Silver Anniversary at the theatre) are thrilled to present the award-winning and revolutionary 1776 THE MUSICAL, with musical direction by Jeff Rizzo and directed & staged by Glenn Casale. 1776 THE MUSICAL will preview on Friday, January 11, 2019 (with a press opening on Saturday, January 12 at 8pm) and runs through Sunday, February 3, 2019 at La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts, 14900 La Mirada Blvd in La Mirada.  

The Theatre Group at SBCC opens the 17/18 season with Cole Porter's sparkling musical, HIGH SOCIETY, July 12-29 in the Garvin Theatre. 

I am incredibly proud of all my kids and Ryan is pursuing his dream as a performer. He has been performing for quite awhile now as a professional and I have had the idea that this would be so since about his Junior year in High School. I have always taken the time to include my kids (when they have shown an interest) into the shows I was doing. Ryan and his older sister, Kaitlynn, were able to be more inundated with it at a young age as I was more active as a professional performer and they got to be backstage and at rehearsal, and often in shows with me. Whenever I was in a show that needed kids, I got them an audition and, since they were talented, often got cast, so we were able to share the stage. Sound of Music, South Pacific, Music Man, Secret Garden, A Christmas Carol, all shows that my kids been able to share with me.

THE BARDY BUNCH: The War of the Families Partridge and Brady, the musical parody by Stephen Garvey that gained cult status during its Off-Broadway run in 2014, is excited to announce casting for its limited engagement in Chicago, September 16 through November 27, at the Mercury Theater, 3745 N. Southport Avenue. The show's all-star cast will portray the Brady and Partridge families, just after the ABC Network ceased airing their chronicles in 1974, in a blood-soaked, vengeance-fueled, lust-filled crossover episode of Shakespearean proportions.

After the tremendous success of Hatched: Fresh Work. Freshmen (2013), Hatched: New Work in New York (2012) and Rated RSO: College Edition (2011), Ryan Scott Oliver and Pace University's Musical Theater Class of 2017 will present the annual freshmen cabaret HATCHED. Carol Irvin, who has been a mainstay at Crossville's Cumberland County Playhouse for more than 20 years, is the latest recipient of The First Night Robe,presented on Saturday, November 17, prior to curtain of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Earlier in the same week, Bralyn Stokes received the robe at Rhubarb Theater's Birds in Church, and Michael Holder and Josh Waldrep claimed it at Street Theatre Company's Miss Saigon in Concert.

ANNIE, the new production of the Tony Award-winning musical, went into rehearsal today in New York City with its full company. The production begins previews October 3, 2012 and opens November 8, 2012 at the Palace Theatre (Broadway at 47th Street). Meet the full cast below!

A multi-generational cast from Paul's Players will produce JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT on July 26, 27, and 28, 2012, 7:30 p.m., at St. Paul's Presbyterian Church, 27475 Five Mile Road, Livonia. Last night, February 14, Town Hall continued its 'Broadway by the Year' series with the Musicals of 1921, licking off the series 90th anniversary season. Written, created and hosted by Scott Siegel, the cast featured Erin Davie (A Little Night Music), Stephen Mo Hanan (Cats) Kevin Earley (Thoroughly Modern Millie), Liz Lark-Brown (2011 Nightlife Award Winner), Tony Award nominees Bobby Steggert (Ragtime), Kate Baldwin (Finian's Rainbow), Jeffry Denman (Drama Desk Nominee, Yank!), Erin Denman (42nd Street), and KendRick Jones (The Scottsboro Boys). Also featured were the 10 'Siegfeld' Follies Girls that will help recreate the look and style of a Broadway that existed 90 years ago, the year when Town Hall, itself, was built. Beck Center for the Arts proudly continues its holiday tradition of fine family entertainment with its production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, on the Mackey Main Stage, December 3, 2010 through January 2, 2011. Show times are 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 2:30 p.m. Sundays with select Thursday evening and Saturday matinee performances. A special Wednesday evening performance will take place on December 29. There are no performances on December 24, 25, or January 1.
