A Midsummer Night's Dream Photos - Off-Broadway

Writers Theatre, under the leadership of Artistic Director Michael Halberstam and Executive Director Kathryn M. Lipuma, opens its 2018/19 season with Qui Nguyen's Vietgone, directed by Lavina Jadhwani, featuring original music and music direction by Gabriel Ruiz and choreography by Tommy Rapley. Vietgone runs August 15 - September 23, 2018 in the Alexandra C. and John D. Nichols Theatre at 325 Tudor Court, Glencoe. The Press Opening is Wednesday, August 22 at 7:30 p.m.

In an innovative twist on the typical cabaret show, a company of 6 actors perform a programme of new writing from Martha Pothen peppered with favourites from the musical theatre canon in an acerbic examination of our relationship with technology and social media. 

The Theatre Group at SBCC concludes the 17/18 season with the Pulitzer Prize-winning play, CRIMES OF THE HEART by Beth Henley.

The Pool, a pop-up theater company, will present three new plays in rotating rep from November 15 - December 16, 2017 in a limited 5-week engagement at The Flea Theater's brand-new Tribeca home, located at 20 Thomas Street. The plays are Susan Bernfield's TANIA IN THE GETAWAY VAN directed by Portia Krieger, Peter Gil-Sheridan's THE RAFA PLAY directed by Morgan Gould, and Lynn Rosen's WASHED UP ON THE POTOMAC directed by Jos Zayas.

Bay Street Theater has announced their take on AS YOU LIKE IT, by William Shakespeare, directed by Tony Award winner John Doyle, with original music by Stephen Schwartz, will run from August 8 - September 3. Stage Door Inc. opens its 2014 season with Spamalot, a musical comedy 'lovingly ripped off from' the 1975 comedy 'Monty Python and the Holy Grail.' It tells the story of the King Arthur legend in a delightfully irreverent, highly historically inaccurate, hilarious way.

The Shakespeare Center of Los Angeles (SCLA) will hold "The Trial of Hamlet" to determine the competency of the defendant to stand trial for the murder of Polonius, based on the events of the Shakespeare play.
