Signature Theatre presents world premiere of Masterpieces of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity by DC playwright Heather McDonald (Broadway's An Almost Holy Picture, Signature's Available Light). The production is directed by Australian film and theater director Nadia Tass (Malcolm, Matching Jack) and features Holly Twyford(Signature's A Little Night Music, Sex with Strangers) as Layla, Felicia Curry (Signature's The Scottsboro Boys, Arena's Nina Simone: Four Women) as Mitra, and Yesenia Iglesias (Folger's Love's Labor's Lost, Ford's A Christmas Carol) as Nadia. Masterpieces of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity runs from February 26 through April 7 in Signature Theatre's ARK Theatre.

Chester Theatre Company continues its 25th Anniversary Season with Caryl Churchill's A NUMBER. The production, which runs now through August 10 at the Chester Town Hall in Chester, MA, will feature CTC favorite Jay Stratton, joined by newcomer Larry John Meyers. Previews are now underway at Playwrights Horizons (Tim Sanford, Artistic Director; Leslie Marcus, Managing Director) for the New York premiere of Our House, a new play by Pulitzer Prize finalist Theresa Rebeck (The Butterfly Collection and Bad Dates at Playwrights Horizons, Broadway's Mauritius, co-author of Omnium Gatherum). A scathing new comedy that shakes up Reality TV, Our House is the final production of the theater company's 2008/2009 Season.

'The Bully Pulpit' a new play written and performed by Michael O. Smith begins performances on April 29th. Taking place on Teddy's 60th birthday, surrounded by mementos of his adventures as a rancher, Rough Rider, naturalist and President, Roosevelt re-examines the events of his colorful life from humorous and characteristically blunt perspective.
