Stylists from Bumble and bumble gave free Haircuts to Tribe members of Hair, including Diana DeGarmo, and Hair fans today in an effort to collect Hair clippings to be used to create highly absorbent Hair booms to help contain the oil crisis in the Gulf of Mexico. BroadwayWorld was on hand to capture the event!

Wednesday, March 31, marked the one year anniversary of the critically acclaimed Broadway revival, of Tony Award-winning production Hair. BroadwayWorld was on hand at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre to celebrate with the cast post-show.

New York City saw a different side of its typically conservative Mayor, Michael Bloomberg, when he donned extensions and hippie garb on stage with Broadway's cast of Hair at the Inner Circle fundraiser dinner on Saturday, March 27, 2010 at The Hilton Hotel. Also joining the cast on stage in celebration were Jersey Shore cast members Snooki and Mike 'The Situation' Sorrentino.

Oskar Eustis, Artistic Director of The Public Theater, has announced the Broadway cast of Hair: The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical. The new Tribe will debut on Tuesday, March 9, at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre. BroadwayWorld was on hand as the new hippies met the press today.

The producers of the Tony Award-winning revival of Hair previously announced that, in an unprecedented move, they were canceling the show's Sunday, October 11th performance so that the entire cast could join the National Equality March in Washington, D.C.
