New images have been released as best-selling recording artist, X-Factor winner and West End star Matt Cardle officially joins the cast of Strictly Ballroom The Musical. Based on Baz Luhrmann's acclaimed film and now transformed into a spectacular and joyous West End musical, Matt plays the role of band leader Wally Strand at the Piccadilly Theatre.

The mesmerising NCPA venue, the holiday season, the best of rock and roll and Broadway put together- surely makes for a million dollar quartet. This Christmas, Mumbai was host to a touring Broadway production of the Million Dollar Quartet, written and created by Colin Escott, Floyd Mutrux and Ian Talbot. India's fascination for the west and its long withstanding history of rock and roll were optimized to the maximum as full house weekends and roaring crowds embraced the musical.

Check out our first look at the Broadway-bound production of SOUSATZKA in rehearsals in Toronto! Based on the original novel Madame Sousatzka written by Bernice Rubens, SOUSATZKA is set in London, England in 1982 and tells the story of a musical prodigy torn between two powerful women from vastly different worlds: his mother, a political refugee from South Africa and his piano teacher, a brilliant eccentric with a shattered past. These two proud, iconoclastic women must ultimately cross cultural and racial divides to find common ground, or else jeopardize the young musician's destiny.

Keith Tomasek, a blogger from Ontario, Canada, was recently invited to an open rehearsal for Garth Drabinsky's Broadway-bound SOUSATZKA, where he captured some great backstage moments and previews from the event.

In 1849, a twenty-eight year-old former slave named Harriet Tubman risked her life to lead a group of other slaves to freedom. Over the course of ten years, she made an additional nineteen trips. She didn't lose any of her three hundred 'passengers' on The Underground Railroad. They called her 'Moses.'

On November 23, 2015, Sing For Your Seniors hosted the latest in its series of Broadway Sessions with cast members from BEAUTIFUL: THE CAROLE KING MUSICAL for the residents of The Lillian Booth Actors Home of The Actors Fund. The musical performance included songs of the performers' choosing as well of songs from BEAUTIFUL. Drury Lane Productions and Jennifer Maloney-Prezioso (Broadway's Spring Awakening, Rock of Ages) present the pre-Broadway production of Beaches, A New Musical, based on the beloved novel by Iris Rainer Dart. The show began previews June 24 and opens tonight, July 2nd, running through August 16, 2015. The original musical is written by Iris Rainer Dart and Thom Thomas, with music by David Austin and lyrics by Iris Rainer Dart.
