Chance Theater, Anaheim's official resident theater company, is pleased to announce its production of Violet, which will kick off its 20th Anniversary Season. The show has book and lyrics by Brian Crawley, music by Jeanine Tesori, direction and choreography by Kari Hayter, and musical direction by Robyn Manion. Violet will preview from February 2 through February 9; regular performances will begin February 10 and continue through March 4 at Chance Theater @ Bette Aitken theater arts Center on the Cripe Stage.

Chance Theater is set to present its 14th annual production of the irreverent, raunchy and pitch-black dark holiday satire... The Eight: Reindeer Monologues. Written by Jeff Goode, directed by Resident Artist James McHale. The Eight: Reindeer Monologues will perform December 8 through December 23 on the Fyda-Mar Stage at Chance Theater @ Bette Aitken theater arts Center.

Chance Theater presents the second show of its 16th Anniversary Season - the humorous and inventive glimpse behind-the-scenes of the traditional Passion play produced in three distinctively different locations and times. Written by two-time Pulitzer Prize Finalist Sarah Ruhl, with direction by Trevor Biship (director of Chance's Ovation Award-winning Jerry Springer: The Opera). Peter Dinklage (GAME OF THRONES) emceed a sold-out benefit for The Play Company on Monday, April 30 at the American Airlines Theatre in Manhattan. DownTown Theatre Company has released opening night photos for the World Premiere of Daddy. The opening night party and celebration took place on January 31 at TBG Arts Center (312 West 36 St.) in NYC.

DownTownTheatre Company proudly presents the World Premiere of Daddy, written by Dan Via and directed by David Hilder. Daddy runs from January 28 - February 13, 2010 in a limited engagement at TBG Arts Center Mainstage Theatre, located at 312 West 36th Street on the 3rd Floor, between 8th & 9th Avenues in NYC. Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's masterpiece Into the Woods opens in previews at Kansas City Repertory Theatre September 11. Opening night is September 18; the show closes October 4. Tony Award nominee Moisés Kaufman directs.

The York Theatre Company (James Morgan, Producing Artistic Director) is presenting the The Grand Tour, the first of three Spring 2009 Musicals in Mufti staged concert presentations, playing May 29-31. BroadwayWorld.com was there for the first performance of this classic musical.

On Tuesday October 14th, the cast and creative team of the upcoming Broadway production of SHREK THE MUSICAL took a break from rehearsals and had a 'Meet and Greet' with the press. The event took place at the Sheraton Hotel & Towers, 811 7th Ave. SHREK THE MUSICAL begins performances at the Broadway Theatre (1681 Broadway @ 53rd St) on Saturday, November 8, 2008, with the official opening night on Sunday, December 14, 2008.

Casting has been announced for the London production of Jersey Boys, the Tony Award award-winning Broadway musical. The show will open in London's West End at the Prince Edward Theatre on Tuesday March 18, 2008, following previews from February 28, 2008. The London cast will be headed by Ryan Molloy as Frankie Valli, Stephen Ashfield as Bob Gaudio, Glenn Carter as Tommy DeVito and Philip Bulcock as Nick Massi.
