Azuka Theatre ends the 2017-2018 season with the world premiere of Mrs. Harrison, by R. Eric Thomas, from May 2 to20, 2018. Mrs.Harrison is the third and final show of the season that celebrated Azuka's commitment to notable Philadelphia playwrights and unique Philadelphia voices. Producing Artistic Director Kevin Glaccum directs this suspenseful dark comedy and drama about two women, one story and their very different memories about their relationship in college. The show runs through May 20, 2018, for a total of 18 performances.  All performances will take place at the Louis Bluver Theatre at The Drake, 302 S. Hicks Street. Tickets for shows this season are Pay What You Decide, whereas audience members see a show first, and pay what they decide after the performance. For reservations, visit azukatheatre.org. No doubt most of us have fond memories of our senior year in high school, with our Senior Prom being one of the many highlights of that year. Nostalgia for that year fuels the happy story of four friends in THE MARVELOUS WONDERETTES, a 1999 musical comedy with a book by Roger Bean that has gone on to be presented in countless productions all over the world, including the current one being presented at Crown City Theatre in NoHo through February 25, 2018, directed and choreographed to bring back starlight memories by Robert Marra with musical direction by William A. Reilly.

Multimedia company Artist Playground presents I Remember A Boy, a musical revue featuring Original Pilipino Music's (OPM) classic hits, on Saturday, November 11, and Sunday, November 12, at Arts Above (112 West Avenue, Quezon City).

On Monday, November 4, the Broadway at Birdland partnership with multi-Grammy and Tony nominated composer Frank Wildhorn continued with another 'Frank & Friends' concert. This very special evening was an on-stage reunion for performers from sixteen years of Jekyll & Hyde Broadway and touring companies, including Robert Cuccioli, Craig Schulman, Luba Mason, Anastasia Barzee, Andrea Rivette, Coleen Sexton, Jodi Stevens?, Teal Wicks, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Courtney Markowitz, Dana Costello, Sean Jenness, Doug Storm & Mel Johnson, Jr. BroadwayWorld has photos from the concert below!

Anthony Crivello was back in New York after a six-year run in the title role of Phantom: The Las Vegas Spectacular. He went backstage to visit with Audra McDonald after seeing her perform in Porgy and Bess. McDonald performed with Crivello in Broadway's production of Marie Christine in 1999. Tony Winner Dan Fogler premiered his directing debut at the Tribeca Film Festival last week. The movie, Hysterical Psycho, is a spoof of cabin in the woods movies, made with his theater group, Stage 13.
