Broadway's Side Show just ended its run at the St. James Theatre yesterday, January 4, 2015. The completely reimagined revival began previews on October 28 and officially opened on November 17, 2014. Directed by Bill Condon, the musical includes new music by multiple Grammy Award winner and Academy Award, Golden Globe, and Tony Award nominee Henry Krieger (Dreamgirls), with book and lyrics by Tony Award nomineeBill Russell and additional book material by Bill Condon, and choreography by Tony and Olivier Award nominee Anthony Van Laast (Mamma Mia). The all-new Broadway cast recording of Side Show will be released on Broadway Records early next year. Boasting Side Show's legendary and beloved score, which now includes new music, and featuring the acclaimed vocal performances of the recently-revealed Broadway cast of the upcoming, totally reimagined production, the new original Broadway cast recording of Side Show is produced by six-time Grammy Award winning producer Frank Filipetti and will be released in the theater, stores and on iTunes in early 2015. Side Show made history on Opening Night, last night November 17 at 7:45 p.m. when Clear Channel Spectacolor broadcasted the show-stopping Act I finale in Times Square with never before used audio technology on one of their digital billboards. The rousing Act I finale, 'Who Will Love Me as I Am?,' sung by the show's two leading ladies, Erin Davie and Emily Padgett, was the first live performance in history aired in Times Square.

The upcoming Broadway reimagining of Side Show, featuring leading ladies Erin Davie and Emily Padgett, opens on Broadway this fall, with a revised book and lyrics are by Bill Russell, with music by Henry Krieger, and additional book material by Bill Condon. Musical direction and arrangements are by Sam Davis (Dreamgirls at the Apollo), orchestrations are by six time Tony Award nominee Harold Wheeler, (Hairspray, Dreamgirls, The Wiz); and choreography is by Tony and Olivier Award nominee Anthony Van Laast (Mamma Mia). The producers of the upcoming Broadway reimagining of Side Show have revealed the production's alluring poster artwork, that features a portrait of leading ladies Erin Davie and Emily Padgett, and captures the show's blend of vintage show business with the uniquely cinematic aesthetic that comes from the vision of Academy Award® winner Bill Condon (Chicago, Dreamgirls, Twilight Breaking Dawn Parts 1 & 2). As previously announced, Mr. Condon is making his theatrical debut as director of Side Show, which opens on Broadway, this fall.
