President George HW Bush and Mrs. Barbara Bush honored the Ogunquit Playhouse by attending yesterday's (June 3rd) Matinee performance of Always, Patsy Cline, now playing through June 16. Sally Struthers (as Louise) and Carter Calvert (as Patsy Cline) welcomed them backstage during intermission, where President and Mrs. Bush exalted both leading lady's performances. The former President and First Lady "loved" the show, and the cast, musicians and audience members loved seeing them as well. Check out the photo below!

The 15th Annual New York International Fringe Festival will present the premiere of the new play SAMMY GETS MUGGED!, by award-winning writer Dan Heching, through August 28. Connecticut Repertory Theatre (CRT), the professional producing arm of the Department of Dramatic Arts at the University of Connecticut in Storrs, concludes its Nutmeg Summer Series with the musical revue Smokey Joe's Café, playing now through Sunday, July 4 in the Harriet S. Jorgensen Theatre. Evening performances start at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, and at 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. Plus, a Sunday matinee performance starting at 2 p.m. The Harriet S. Jorgensen Theatre is located on the campus of the University of Connecticut in Storrs, and provides air-conditioned comfort and convenient free parking in Lot 9 and X Lot.
