With his company, Reuben Cannon Entertainment, Cannon has been involved with over one hundred television series, made-for-tv movies and films. In partnership with Tyler Perry Studios and Lions Gate Films he produced 10 record-breaking movies including Diary of a Mad Black Woman, Why Did I Get Married and Madea’s Goes to Jail. He also served as the Executive Producer of the popular TV series House of Payne. Cannon is a Board member of the Motion Picture Academy of Arts and Sciences and has received many industry awards. Born in Manchester, Connecticut on May 26, 1947, Gunas was known and loved by so many in the theater industry - as much for his gentlemanly demeanor as his sharp business acumen. His career began off-Broadway in 1969 as an apprentice Company Manager for the musical Promenade. In the 1970s, he shifted to Broadway shows and first-class tours in the office of Marvin A.
