Michael was born in California, US and was raised in the mountains of Tennessee. He says he has been singing since as far back as he can remember, back to when he was a little kid. He received his Bachelors of Music from Stetson University and his Masters of Music from the New England Conservatory, both degrees in classical singing. After finishing his MM, Michael moved to New York to continue his studies privately.
