Naumburg Orchestral Concerts Announces 117th Free Concert Series

The Naumburg Orchestral Concerts announced the lineup for their 117th season today - The Knights, Handel and Haydn Society, A Far Cry, The Knights return with violinist Lara St. John and East Coast Chamber Orchestra (ECCO) closes out the 2022 season. All concerts will take place at 7:30 PM at the Naumburg Bandshell (Concert Ground, 72nd St, mid-park, New York, NY 10065). This August, New York City will host the first ever Classical Bridge, an international music festival, academy and conference designed to build bridges through the music. The Orchestra Now Opens New York Fall Season

The Orchestra Now (T?N) will open its New York City fall season with the first concert of its T?N at Rose Theater series at Jazz at Lincoln Center's Frederick P. Rose Hall on October 15. The program of works by Rubinstein, Sibelius, and Daugherty will feature the distinguished maestro Neeme J rvi as guest conductor with pianist Anna Shelest and cellist Zuill Bailey.

Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra (LACO), led by Music Director Jeffrey Kahane, presents Prokofiev's virtuosic Violin Concerto No. 2, featuring special guest violinist Joseph Swensen, and Mozart's resplendent Flute Concerto No. 1, highlighting LACO Principal Flute David Shostac, on Saturday, March 14, 2015, 8 pm, at Glendale's Alex Theatre, and Sunday, March 15, 2015, 7 pm, at UCLA's Royce Hall. Kahane also conducts Haydn's Symphony No. 64 in A major, 'Times Change,' and LACO Composer-in-Residence Andrew Norman's Gran Turismo for eight solo violins, which the composer describes as a 'creative joyride' named for 'an addictive car racing video game.'
