From August 5 through August 14, Classic American Tales (CAT) will present three different events in two different Cape May locations: The historic Dormer House B&B and The Cape May Public Library. 

Gayle Stahlhuth, founder of Classic American Tales (CAT) who had been producing artistic director of East Lynne Theater Company for 23 years, will head up two workshops in April in Cape May County.

Classic American Tales (CAT) is offering an acting workshop for ages 17 and up, and all levels of experience are welcomed.  Learn more about the workshop here!

The award-winning Equity professional East Lynne Theater Company  has announced its upcoming 2022 Season, both virtual and live.

The York Theatre Company in association with Documentary Arts presents the world premiere of the new musical Lonesome Blues, based on the true story of legendary bluesman Blind Lemon Jefferson, created by Alan Govenar (Texas in Paris) and Akin Babatunde (Blind Lemon Blues), directed by Katherine Owens (How Is It That We Live or Shakey Jake + Alice), performed by Akin Babatunde with David Weiss on guitar.

New Jersey Theatre Alliance ( the Alliance ) received a $15,000 grant from Investors Foundation headquartered in Short Hills, NJ, for the second wave of the See Professional Theatre campaign. The grant will help the Alliance promote New Jersey's professional theatres by funding a video series that will introduce people to the variety, accessibility, and high quality of New Jersey's professional theatres.

The award-winning Equity professional East Lynne Theater Company, in partnership with the Cape May Film Society, presents 'The Sheik' (1921) starring Rudolph Valentino with live organ accompaniment by Wayne Zimmerman, on Sunday, November 13 at 700p.m., at The First Presbyterian Church, 500 Hughes Street in Cape May, where the theater is in residence.

August at the award-winning East Lynne Theater is all about swashbuckling. Currently with 'Zorro!' on the mainstage, the company's Sunday Film Series, with co-sponsor The Cape May Film Society, presents two high seas adventures: 'The Crimson Pirate' (1952) on August 3 at 8:30p.m., and 'The Black Pirate' (1926) on August 10 at 8:30p.m.
