Bradley Smoak, 32 of Cary, NC, won First Prize in the 2017 Lotte Lenya Competition, sponsored by the Kurt Weill Foundation for Music. Smoak took home $20,000, the largest single prize amount given in the competition's nineteen year history.

The much-beloved musical DREAMGIRLS, which delves into the backstage drama of fictional girl group The Dreams, is coming to the Hobby, with Zonya Love tackling the role of Effie White, this April.

Set changes are inspirational to watch, choreographed like a ballet down to the slightest detail.

AJ Shively (Bright Star), Robert Cuccioli (Jekyll & Hyde), Jim Walton (Sunset Boulevard) and Nick Cartell (Jesus Christ Superstar) have joined Feinstein's/54 Below concert series debut of Broadway Bound: The Musicals That Never Came To Broadway on Tuesday, March 21st (7:00pm & 9:30 pm) at Feinstein's/54 Below.

When scheduling an interview with Broadway and now West End star: Marisha Wallace, I was quickly reminded that London is five hours ahead of Eastern Standard Time, so when we found an appointment that was congruently free; it was a little early for me... Flash forward to a 7am interview that started my day on the highest of notes: Marisha's bubbly and down to earth personality drew me in the first moment I saw her perform in the hit musical 'Something Rotten!'

Tome Cousin is an interdisciplinary artist who has molded an award winning international career that includes collaboration and performance on Broadway, television, film, dance, theater, music, photography, and literature. He holds a Bachelors of Arts in Dance History and Choreography and a Masters of Fine Art in New Media Art and Performance. He is an Associate Professor of Dance at the Carnegie Mellon University School of Drama.
