The first and possibly the greatest American musical superstar, Frank Sinatra was inarguably one of the most successful, multi-talented entertainers of the 20th century, singing with the most popular big bands of the 40s, pursuing a successful solo recording career, and earning Academy Awards as an actor. Backing Mr. Marvin in this centennial salute to the musical legacy of the Chairman of the Board is the acclaimed Capital Jazz Orchestra under the direction of Clayton 'Skip' Poole.

In the summer of 1918, as the Great War rages in Europe, two individuals wage their own battle against injustice in America, risking their lives for the right to marry. Winding up the 2014 Antaeus season of modern classics, Gregg T. Daniel directs a fully partner-cast revival of Wedding Band: A Love/Hate Story in Black and White by Alice Childress. Wedding Band runs today, Oct. 18 through Dec. 7 at the Antaeus Theater in NoHo, with low-priced previews beginning Oct. 9.

Maryland Ensemble Theatre (MET) has a full slate of programming this summer including a handful of Ensemble Member produced shows, the annual community collaboration with Frederick Community College, and The Comedy Pigs' anniversary shows. Trinity Rep announced today that former artistic director and Academy-award nominated film, stage and TV actor Richard Jenkins and his wife Director/Choreographer Sharon Jenkins will be honored with the 2014 Pell Award for Lifetime Achievement in the Arts. The theater also announced that nationally known dance educator and choreographer Mary Paula Hunter will receive the 2014 Charles Sullivan Award for Distinguished Service in the Arts. The 18th annual Pell Awards will be held on Monday, June 9, 2014 at Trinity Rep with a reception to follow next door at the Providence Public Library.
