The New Group presents the U.S. premiere of Kevin Elyot's Mouth to Mouth directed by Mark Brokaw as the first production in its 2008-2009 season. Slated for a limited Off-Broadway engagement from October 21 - December 27, this production features New Group artist David Cale, Lisa Emery and Elizabeth Jasicki. Hamingson) will present the New York premiere of TAKING OVER, the first new solo play by OBIE Award winner Danny Hoch in 10 years. Prior to its run at The Public in November, the Hip-Hop Theater Festival and The Public will join forces to present free performances of TAKING OVER in neighborhoods most affected by the play's explosive topic of gentrification: the South Bronx, Long Island City, and Williamsburg.

The Public Theater's Artistic Director Oskar Eustis and Executive Director Mara Manus announce that the U.S. premiere of WRECKS, written and directed by Neil LaBute and featuring Ed Harris, has sold out for its run and will be extended for three additional weeks with performances running through November 19th. Previews began on Tuesday, September 26, 2006 in the Anspacher Theater. The press opening is Tuesday, October 10, 2006.

Performances of THE PAJAMA GAME will begin Friday, January 27th on Broadway at the American Airlines Theatre with the official opening set for Thursday, March 2nd. The limited engagement is scheduled to run 20 weeks through June 18th, 2006.

The Playright Horizons show begins previews on August 30 and opens on September 25.
