Stage Adaptation of Elena Ferrante's Neapolitan Novels Headlines New Rose Theatre, Kingston's Upcoming Season

With John Malkovich's acclaimed production of Good Canary entering its final week, Rose Theatre Kingston today announces its new season for 2017.  Headlining the season is the world premiere of My Brilliant Friend, a two-part adaptation of Elena Ferrante's Neapolitan quartet of novels which have become a global literary sensation.  The true identity of the author is a mystery, with Elena Ferrante a pseudonym used by the writer, but speculation over the weekend suggested that the author had been unmasked.

Music Worcester had a grand opening to its 157th season last night at beautiful Mechanics Hall, a treasure in downtown Worcester, presenting Patti LuPone in her latest solo concert program, DON'T MONKEY WITH BROADWAY. She shared the stage with her fantastic musical director/accompanist Joseph Thalken, and was joined by The Worcester Chorus for several songs in the second act. It was thrilling to hear so many signature songs performed live by one of the great Broadway divas.

Starz announced today the company has greenlit 'The White Princess,' the follow-up to the critically-acclaimed STARZ Original Miniseries event 'The White Queen,' from Company Pictures. Adapted from Philippa Gregory's best-selling novel of the same name and part of The Cousins' War book series, 'The White Princess' tells the story of England's War of the Roses from the perspective of the women.
