The seven shows scheduled this season at Performance Network are just the last in a long line of plays and musicals staged at Ann Arbor's professional theatre, now celebrating its 30th Anniversary Season. To mark this milestone, PNT is holding an inspiring Anniversary Gala, entitled "Home Grown, World Class," which will showcase the plays, musicals, and talents featured over the past 30 years, from the early 80's "Waiting for Godot" to 2010's 'The Drowsy Chaperone." This fund raising event will be held on Saturday March 24th at 6pm at Kensington Court Hotel. Tickets are still available and will be sold through March 16.

Simon Callow has returned to London's Trafalgar Studios 1 to reprise his highly acclaimed show BEING SHAKESPEARE for a strictly limited season from 7 to 31 March, before heading across the seas to appear at the Brooklyn Academy Of Music in New York and then at the Chicago Shakespeare Theatre at the Broadway Playhouse.

American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.) introduces a celebrated Middle Eastern voice to the Bay Area with the West Coast premiere of Wajdi Mouawad's haunting playScorched. After receiving more than 100 productions (in several languages) worldwide, the Lebanese-Canadian writer's new play will be directed at A.C.T. by Artistic Director Carey Perloff in a beautiful translation from the original French by distinguished Canadian author Linda Gaboriau.

According to Deadline, Broadway veterans Alfred Molina and Bill Irwin, will star on TNT's 'Chelsea General,' based on Sanjay Gupta's 'Monday Mornings.' Molina will play 'Dr. Harding Hooten, the steely-eyed Chief of Surgery at Chelsea General, known for his punishing and outwardly-uncaring ways.' Irwin will play 'Dr. Buck Tierney, a smug doctor who takes himself very seriously and rubs his colleagues the wrong way.'

Rattlestick Playwrights Theater has announced the cast and creative team for the world premiere of HORSEDREAMS, a new play written by and featuring award-winning and Pulitzer Prize finalist, Dael Orlandersmith. The third production of the company's 17th season, performances of HORSEDREAMS will begin Wednesday, November 9th at Rattlestick Theater (224 Waverly Place - off Seventh Avenue South, between Perry & West 11th Streets). The official opening night is set for Thursday, November 17th. The production is scheduled to run through December 11th. Gordon Edelstein directs.
