This week THEATER TALK welcomes three actors - Robert Morse, Lewis J. Stadlen, and Holland Taylor - from the dynamic 22-person cast of the Broadway revival of The Front Page, currently at the Broadhurst Theatre through January 29.

The New York Philharmonic will present Beloved Friend - Tchaikovsky and His World: A Philharmonic Festival, January 24-February 11, 2017, featuring Russian-born Semyon Bychkov conducting works by Tchaikovsky as well as composers he was influenced by and whom he influenced, with piano soloists Yefim Bronfman and Kirill Gerstein.

Celebrated up-and-coming experimental director Jeremy Bloom adapts and directs this amalgamation of short stories. Wilde Tales begins performances on Wednesday, December 7 at 7pm and opens on Saturday, December 10 at 7pm. Ken Bloom, author of the new book SHOW AND TELL:  The New Book of Broadway Anecdotes has been nominated for a 2017 Grammy Award in the category Best Album Notes along with his collaborator Richard Carlin. This is Bloom's second Grammy nomination. His recording of "Maxine Sullivan Sings Great Songs from the Cotton Club" was previously nominated as Best Jazz Vocal Album.

The Lyric Stage Company of Boston announces cast & creative team for Edward Albee's Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf, directed by Scott Edmiston, running January 13 - February 12, 2016.

Berkshire Theatre Group presents comedian, Liz Miele, as part of BTG's Laugh Lounge Series, today, November 30 at 8pm at The Garage.

Music Director Alan Gilbert will lead the New York Philharmonic in the World Premiere of HK Gruber's Piano Concerto - a Philharmonic co-commission with the Berlin Philharmonic, Royal Concertgebouw, and Royal Stockholm Philharmonic orchestras - with pianist Emanuel Ax as soloist; Weill's Little Threepenny Music for Wind Orchestra; and Schubert's Symphony No. 2. The performances will take place Thursday, January 5, 2017, at 7:30 p.m.; Friday, January 6 at 8:00 p.m.; and Saturday, January 7 at 8:00 p.m.

Lett, with musical direction by Mitchell Hanlon. Performances will be held in the Little Theatre, November 18-December 11, 2016.

It is announced today that the Tony Award-winning and Academy Award-nominated actor Sophie Okonedo will join Damian Lewis in a new production of Edward Albee's The Goat, or Who Is Sylvia?  Directed by Ian Rickson, the production will play a strictly limited 12 week season at the Theatre Royal Haymarket from 24th March to 24th June 2017.

The Cherry Orchard is Anton Chekhov's masterpiece about a family on the edge of ruin-and a country on the brink of revolution. The story of Lyubov Ranevskaya and her family's return to their fabled orchard to forestall its foreclosure captures a people-and a world-in transition, and presents us with a picture of humanity in all its glorious folly. By turns tragic and funny, The Cherry Orchard still stands as one of the great plays of the modern era.
