The Museum of the City of New York today announced a star-studded line-up of musicians and writers for a special concert to benefit the upcoming exhibition Folk City. The concert will be held at 8:00 PM tonight, June 20th at the New York Academy of Medicine at 1216 Fifth Avenue at 103rd Street.

The critically acclaimed PULSE ENSEMBLE THEATRE, celebrating its 24th season, and Artistic Director Alexa Kelly are pleased to present the 9th season of Harlem Summer Shakespeare with free performances of Shakespeare's THE TAMING OF THE SHREW, directed by Kelly. THE TAMING OF THE SHREW will play a four-week limited engagement in the glorious Amphitheatre in Riverbank State Park (679 Riverside Drive @ 145th Street). Performances begin Wednesday, July 10 and continue through Sunday, August 4. Opening Night is Thursday, July 11 (8 p.m.).

This odd and puzzling philosophical question is at the core of Harvey, the 1945 Pulitzer Prize-winning comedy by Mary Chase. Cleveland Play House (CPH) will host their 17th Hall of Fame Luncheon on Tuesday, May 14th in the Allen Theatre at PlayhouseSquare. This year's honorees have contributed to the success of CPH through many different avenues, and their professional accomplishments have accentuated CPH's proud history. This year's recipients include Dorothy and Frank Draz, Dee Hoty, Barclay Leathem and Jack Weston. Also being recognized is The Women's Committee of Cleveland Play House, which will be presented with the Heritage Award by Roe Green for their contributions to CPH.

Sunset Boulevard, Minneapolis Musical Theatre's (MMT) production of the Broadway hit based on the 1950 Oscar-winning movie about faded glory and unfulfilled ambition, debuts May 31-June 23, 2013 at Hennepin Theatre Trust's New Century Theatre (Street Level of City Center in downtown Minneapolis). Directed by Steven Meerdink, MMT's artistic director, this is the second production in the partnership between Hennepin Theatre Trust and Minneapolis Musical Theatre. The Shakespeare Center of Los Angeles (SCLA), under the artistic direction of Ben Donenberg, returns to The Japanese Garden on the grounds of the VA West Los Angeles Healthcare Center campus with a rollicking summer production of William Shakespeare's romantic comedy "A Midsummer Night's Dream," with live music and directed by Royal Shakespeare Company artist Kenn Sabberton - beginning July 9, through July 28 only. "A Midsummer Night's Dream" is presented by SCLA in conjunction with VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System.
