A spectacular new production of Disney's The Little Mermaid kicks off at The 5th Avenue Theatre this holiday season. Featuring the critically acclaimed work of Director Glenn Casale, this beloved tale of a young mermaid's coming-of-age adventure is told like never before. Previously announced casting includes Seattle's own Diana Huey as Ariel and Matthew Kacergis as Prince Eric, with Broadway's Jennifer Allen as Ursula andSteven Blanchard as King Triton. Melvin Abston, Connor Russell and Jamie Torcellini join the cast as Sebastian, Flounder and Scuttle. The 5th Avenue's production will go on to play engagements in cities including Orlando, Cincinnati,Atlanta and Louisville, among others.

This holiday season, audiences will journey "Under the Sea" for a spectacular new production and Northwest Premiere of the Broadway musical, Disney's The Little Mermaid. Headstrong Ariel is no longer content to live on the ocean floor under the rule of her father, King Triton.

Fifth Third Bank Broadway in Atlanta announces today that tickets for The Little Mermaid, a classic story of Disney's favorite mermaid and her quest to be human, will go on sale to the publicSunday, November 20. This fun-filled, timeless tale will play five performances only Thursday, January 12 - Sunday, January 15 at the Fox Theatre as part of the Fifth Third Bank Broadway in Atlanta 2016/2017 season.

'History of Magic in North America', the first instalment from a collection of new original writing by J.K. Rowling entitled Magic in North America, will be published on pottermore.com over four days, beginning today through March 11. BroadwayWorld has learned the sad news that former silent film star, one of the last remaining OUR GANG (aka, HAL ROACH'S LITTLE RASCALS) series regulars, as well as original Broadway CAROUSEL cast member, Jean Darling has died. She was 93.

Roland Auctions of New York City will be selling the estate of legendary playwright, director, and screenwriter, Arthur Laurents on Saturday, June 2, 2012. Mr. Laurents, whose credits include West Side Story, Gypsy, La Cage Aux Folles, Hallelujah, Baby and The Way We Were, amongst many others, had a long and distinguished career, both on Broadway and in Hollywood.
