TheatreWorks Silicon Valley continues its 2015/2016 season with the Regional Premiere of The Country House. This recent Broadway hit is the latest from Donald Margulies, the Pulitzer Prize-winning author of Dinner with Friends. A revered stage and film star summons her show-biz family to her Berkshires home for a summer stock season soon overstocked with memories. In a Chekhovian blend of witty comedy and poignant drama, they grapple with fame, art, the promise of romance, and the frustration of faded dreams -- and as always, each other.

I LOVE LUCY - LIVE ON STAGE is probably best suited for audiences that already consider themselves Lucy fans. While those who aren't necessarily fans will likely still enjoy the show, I don't think that they will appreciate this production nearly as much as if they grew up with Lucy and Desi coming into their living rooms once a week.

The Jewish Museum will present H.G. Adler: A Survivor's Dual Reverie, an author talk featuring Daniel Mendelsohn, Peter Filkins, Ruth Franklin, and H.G. Adler's son Jeremy Adler, tonight, May 7 at 7pm. Edwin Frank will serve as moderator for the discussion. This program is co-presented with the PEN World Voices Festival of International Literature, May 4-10, 2015.

Award-winning music producer, critic and translator Lawrence Schulman will give a talk on Judy Garland, entitled "Moments of Magic," at the Rockland Public Library on Thursday, September 3, 2015 at 6 P.M. Admission is free. The one-and-a-quarter hour talk will examine Judy Garland's life and career, and feature nine audio-video clips, to be followed by a question and answer. Schulman will endeavor to answer the question: "If I had just one hour to convince you of Judy Garland's place in classic American popular music, what film and television performances would I choose?"

Producers of THE FANTASTICKS, Catherine Russell and Al Parinello have announced that they will now be able to keep Off Broadway's longest running musical from closing. Two donors (longtime fans of the show who have asked to remain anonymous) have stepped in and pledged to keep the production running, making the Sunday, May 3rd performance a 55th anniversary celebration of the opening of the show in 1960 - not a farewell.

THE ODD COUPLE by Neil Simon was the first production ever done under the name of Montevallo Main Street Players and in this, their 30th season, they have decided to bring back the 'classics.' For a small community like this to support a theatre for this long is notable!

Half Moon Theatre opens its inaugural spring season at The Culinary Institute of America with the beloved classic, The Fantasticks, the world's longest-running musical that has entranced generations of audiences the world over. The Fantasticks will run from April 24-May 10 (weekends only).

Her most recent New York engagement was named a 'Critic's Pick' by Time Out New York and called 'a compelling concert and a totally-inspiring comeback performance' by BroadwayWorld.com. The evening of music at the Iridium will feature timeless pop standards by Cole Porter, Jule Styne and Harold Arlen, in addition to 1960's classics from The Beatles and Burt Bacharach, her Billboard-charting hit 'Why Can't I Walk Away?' and songs from emerging New York composers. Music director John Oddo (Rosemary Clooney, Michael Feinstein, Debby Boone) will lead an all-star trio.

Following the recent acquisition of more than 600 works from the Shunk-Kender Photography Collection, The Museum of Modern Art presents Art on Camera: Photographs by Shunk-Kender, 1960-1971, on view from May 17 through October 4, 2015.

Aurora Artistic Director Tom Ross (A Bright New Boise, This Is How It Goes, Edward Albee's A Delicate Balance, The Shape of Things) helms FIFTH OF JULY, featuring Craig Marker (The Shape of Things, The Persians), Elizabeth Benedict, John Girot, Jennifer Le Blanc, Oceana Ortiz, Harold Pierce, Josh Schell, and Nanci Zoppi. Boeing, Boeing is a bedroom farce originally written in French by Marc Camoletti in 1961 and quickly adapted onto the English-speaking stage. Translated by Beverley Cross, the Guinness Book of World Records named it the most performed French comedy ever. Boeing, Boeing takes off with the outrageous lifestyle of an American ex-patriot named Bernhard living in Paris. He is the ultimate ladies man dating three airline stewardesses in the early 1960's at the peak of the Golden Age of air travel. His affairs seem to be intermingling well until the Boeing company develops faster airplanes that lead to a romantic nightmare of crossed schedules, near misses in the bedroom and riotous consequences.

Next spring, Tony Award winners Audra McDonald, George C. Wolfe, and Savion Glover will team up to collaborate on SHUFFLE ALONG, Or, The Making of the Musical Sensation of 1921 and All That Followed, a musical about the events that led to the creation of the groundbreaking Eubie Blake-Noble Sissle musical Shuffle Along. Starring Audra McDonald as the 1920's star Lottie Gee, directed by George C. Wolfe -- with a book written by Wolfe -- and choreographed by Savion Glover, the musical marks the first time that the writer/director and choreographer will have worked together since their 1996 hit Bring in 'da Noise, Bring in 'da Funk. Previews will begin Monday, March 14, 2016. Opening night is Thursday, April 21, 2016 at the Music Box Theatre (239 West 45th Street).

On the 60th anniversary of its last major survey of modern architecture in Latin America, The Museum of Modern Art returns its focus to the region with Latin America in Construction: Architecture 1955-1980, a complex overview of the positions, debates, and architectural creativity from the Rio Grande to Tierra del Fuego, from Mexico to Cuba to the Southern Cone, between 1955 and 1980. On view March 29 through July 19, 2015, Latin America in Construction is organized by Barry Bergdoll, Curator, and Patricio del Real, Curatorial Assistant, Department of Architecture and Design, MoMA; Jorge Francisco Liernur, Universidad Torcuato di Tella, Buenos Aires, Argentina; and Carlos Eduardo Comas, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul, Porto Alegre, Brazil; with the assistance of an advisory committee from across Latin America.
