The Town Hall, New York's landmark theatre and concert venue, just announced the 6th annual Summer Broadway Festival created, written, and hosted by Scott Siegel for the Town Hall. Presented on three consecutive Monday nights in July at 8PM are Frank Sinatra Jr. in Sinatra Sings Sinatra on July 16th, Broadway's Rising Stars on July 23rd, and Liz Callaway, in brand new show, with three of Broadway's leading men - Even Stephen on July 30th. Tickets for Sinatra Sings Sinatra and Liz Callaway in Even Stephen with three of Broadway' are $55, and tickets for Broadway's Rising Stars are $40. Pick Up Performance Co(s), in collaboration with The Joyce Theater, presents the world premiere of The Beginning of the End of the…, a new movement/theater/music work in two-parts written, directed and choreographed by David Gordon, for an unprecedented four-week engagement at Joyce SoHo from tonight, June 1 through June 30 (155 Mercer Street, between Houston and Prince Streets). The official opening will take place on Wednesday, June 6.

Camping With Henry and Tom-directed by Lynda Gibbs-focuses on a 1921 camping trip that Henry Ford, Thomas Edison and President Warren G. Harding took into the Maryland woods to escape civilization. Inspired by that actual event, Camping with Henry and Tom is an exploration of friendship, politics and leadership; a comedic and dramatic clash of three great historical figures, and what might have happened when they ventured off into the woods together.

As the recent recipient of international critical acclaim as well as six Tony Awards, John Logan's drama, "Red," has brought the artist Mark Rothko out of the museums and onto stages across the country. Soon to be produced by Performance Network Theatre, "Red" chronicles two years in the life of Rothko, as he works feverishly on the then highest paid commission in history, for New York's Four Seasons Restaurant. In conjunction with the production, PNT and the Ann Arbor District Library are teaming up to bring community members a deeper look at Rothko's famed commission as well as his other life's works. Grant Mandarino, from the UM History of Art department, will be presenting a free lecture on Tuesday, May 8, from 7:00-8:30pm. The event will take place at Performance Network Theatre.

Clare Cook Dance Theater presents SHOW ME REAL, an evening-length dance theater piece that traces the experience of aspiring artists from the glamour and grit of the 1920s' Ziegfeld Follies culture to the concert dance stage of 2012. SHOW ME REAL views the lives of three real female modern dancers through the lens of a past era combining contemporary dance, original song, narrative, and video projection, revealing how much past is in our present. SHOW ME REAL is conceived and choreographed by Clare Cook with original music and lyrics by Amy Burgess, dramatic text and lyrics by Gena Oppenheim, lighting design by Mike Inwood, and costume design by Liam O'Brien.
