On Saturday, March 1st, The Orpheum Theatre formally announced its much-anticipated 2014-2015 Broadway Season. Concert aficionados from around the country will want to mark their calendars for Music Mountain, America's oldest continuing summer chamber music festival, when it kicks off its gala 85th Anniversary Season beginning Saturday, June 7th! To commemorate the milestone, Music Mountain will continue their season past Labor Day - making the 85th Anniversary Season the longest running season since the 1930s! The summer will include returning chamber ensembles, first time guests and the ever-popular Saturday Evening Twilight Series featuring Jazz, Country, and Folk Music. Concerts are scheduled through September 14.

At a press conference held at Barrington Stage Company's Boyd-Quinson Mainstage, Artistic Director Julianne Boyd announced the theater's 20th Anniversary 2014 season of musicals and plays that will take place in downtown Pittsfield in the Boyd-Quinson Mainstage, St. Germain Stage and Youth Theatre venues in 2014.

Richmond Ballet has announced the return of a fairytale favorite, as Malcolm Burn's full-length Cinderella will be presented at the Carpenter Theatre at Richmond CenterStage, February 13-16, 2014. Sergei Prokofiev's romantic score will be brought to life by the Richmond Symphony for all five performances. In addition, 28 children from The School of Richmond Ballet will perform alongside the professional company and Richmond Ballet II. Richmond Ballet last performed Burn's Cinderella in February of 2009 to sold-out audiences. In a landmark season when the company is celebrating 30 years of its own dreams coming true, Cinderella's inclusion is both poignant and fitting.

The day Leonard Bernstein died, a sense of gut-wrenching loss pervaded the musical world. The producers of A Christmas Story, The Musical have announced the full cast for the production when it arrives at The Theater at Madison Square Garden for its December 11 - 29, 2013 engagement. Reprising their roles will be Dan Lauria (Lombardi, 'The Wonder Years,' 'Sullivan and Son') as Jean Shepherd, John Bolton (Spamalot, Contact, Titanic, 'Boardwalk Empire,' 'Gossip Girl') as the Old Man, Tony Award nominee Erin Dilly (Nice Work if You Can Get It, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang) as Mother and Caroline O'Connor (Chicago, Moulin Rouge) as school teacher Miss Shields. Eli Tokash (Mary Poppins) will play Ralphie at certain perforances, Noah Baird as little brother Randy, and Jake Lucas (Newsies, Far From Heaven), donning the famous spectacles will take on the lead role of Ralphie.
