Liz Callaway Gives Voice to Alliance's 'iSONDHEIM' 4/15

Liz Callaway has been cast in the upcoming iSondheim: A Musical Revue, a world premiere in honor of America's greatest living composer of musical theatre that will run at the Alliance Theatre from April 15 to May 10, 2009.

Oskar Eustis, Artistic Director of The Public Theater, has announced the 26-member Broadway cast of HAIR: The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical. Newcomers to the cast include Gavin Creel, Caissie Levy and Sasha Allen, who join the rest of the tribe, who are reprising their roles from Central Park last summer. Currently in rehearsal at the Union Square Theatre, HAIR begins preview performances on Friday, March 6 at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre (302 West 45th Street, NYC) with an Opening Night set for Tuesday, March 31, 2009.

Over consecutive days this week, the 26-member Broadway cast of HAIR: The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical, will be announced by Oskar Eustis, Artistic Director of The Public Theater. The latest HAIR cast members to be confirmed are Jackie Burns (Black Boys Trio, Tribe), Kaitlin Kiyan (Black Boys Trio, Tribe), Nicole Lewis (White Boys Trio, Tribe), Megan Reinking (Black Boys Trio, Tribe) and Saycon Sengbloh (Abraham Lincoln, White Boys Trio, Tribe), all of whom are reprising their roles from Central Park last summer.

Director Braden Abraham To Stage BETRAYAL At Seattle Rep

Up-and-coming Seattle director Braden Abraham (My Name is Rachel Corrie) stages Harold Pinter's love-triangle-with-a-twist Betrayal at Seattle Repertory Theatre, February 19-March 22, 2009. In this fresh retelling of Pinter's gripping drama, a woman's illicit relationship with her husband's best friend is played out in reverse, from the end of the affair to their first encounter. Betrayal plays in Seattle Rep's intimate Leo K. Theatre. Previews begin February 19, with opening night set for February 25. Tickets are available through the Seattle Repertory Theatre box office seven days a week at (206) 443-2222, toll-free at (877) 900-9285, as well as online at www.seattlerep.org. Director Braden Abraham directed My Name is Rachel Corrie for Seattle Rep in 2007. His cast features Seattle-based actress Cheyenne Casebier (most recently seen as Milady in the Rep's The Three Musketeers) and New York actors Alex Podulke and David Christopher Wells (most recently seen on Broadway in Tom Stoppard's award winning trilogy The Coast of Utopia).
