Due to overwhelming advance ticket sales, Cirque du Soleil announced today that additional performances of KURIOS - Cabinet of Curiosities, its newest touring show, in Costa Mesa and Los Angeles are available for pre-sale to Cirque Club members starting today. General public tickets for the added performances will be available beginning Friday, July 31.

In this taut 2013 theatrical adaptation of Pumla Gobodo-Madikizela's award winning-book, the apartheid regime's most notorious assassin and head of its death squad, Eugene de Kock (played by Matthew Marsh), sits opposite psychologist Pumla Gobodo-Madikizela (played Noma Dumezweni) in Pretoria Central Prison in 1997. Gobodo-Madikizela is a member of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission determined to understand his actions. She questions de Kock, who is sentenced to two life terms plus 212 years for crimes against humanity, murder, conspiracy to murder, attempted murder, assault, kidnapping, illegal possession of firearms, and fraud.

Segerstrom Center Welcomes the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center Tonight

The renowned Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center returns to Segerstrom Center for the Arts in a remarkable program titled Passionate Piano Quartets, pairing three works by Schumann, Brahms and the rarely performed Mahler Piano Quartet, which is the composer's only surviving instrumental chamber work, written while still a teenager. Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center is soon embarking on a North American tour that will include 11 cities and their visit to Segerstrom Center tonight, April 15 in Samueli Theater will be the quartet's sole West Coast appearance.
