The final production of Mosaic Theater Company of DC's third season will be the world premiere staging of The Vagrant Trilogy, written by Mona Mansour and directed by Mark Wing-Davey. Armenian-American pianist Karine Poghosyan kicks off her spring California tour on Thursday, April 12th at 7pm with a solo recital showcasing the music of Aram Khachaturian at the Brand Library and Art Center in Glendale. Ms. Poghosyan, one of the world's foremost interpreters of Khachaturian's music, will be performing selections from her critically acclaimed debut release, Khachaturian Original Piano Works and Ballet Transcriptions on the Naxos Grand Piano label, featuring many of the composer's rarely heard and relatively neglected works for piano.

Sometimes the Rain, Sometimes the Sea, a new play by Brown MFA Playwright Julia Izumi, directed by Brown MFA Director, Kate Bergstrom, is inspired by Hans Christian Andersen's most beloved and well-known fairy tale, "The Little Mermaid." This modern adaptation, in which a rain cloud falls in love with a human, transports audiences into a familiar and fantastical world of self-discovery. Told by a mysterious storyteller named Dolan, characters surprisingly find their authentic selves despite the downpour of complexities that accompany their journeys of falling in and out love.
