Gary Naylor sees an ambitious production that runs parallel storylines but doesn't solve the considerable problems so caused.

'Life's Journal of Faith' is a book based on a life portrayed through poetry, written with the honesty and clarity of a life well-lived. 'Life's Journal of Faith' is the creation of published author Sheila Donnelly. She is the daughter of James O Brien Donnelly, born in Armagh, Ireland, and was an active participant in the Irish Revolution against England from 1917-1921. She is the youngest of the three surviving children, once totaling nine. She spent her first eight years on a farm in Maryland and graduated from Towson Catholic High School. Being the daughter of a man who experienced much adventure and travel, she joined the U.S. Navy and remained there for seven years. After years of traveling and relocating, she settled in Chaparral, New Mexico. However, her adventures are not over, for life, she feels, is to be experienced and enjoyed to the fullest, as God planned.

'Outside the Gates of Eden: A Case for Christian Awareness' is a book of poetry covering biblical, archaeological, and political history. 'Outside the Gates of Eden: A Case for Christian Awareness' is the creation of published author, G. Wilson Boomhower, who was born in January 1950 as the second of six children: three boys and three girls. He was raised by devout Catholic working-class parents whose childhoods had been defined by the Great Depression. He had a large extended family, too; his mom was the youngest of six kids born to Austro-Hungarian immigrants, John and Julia Bodisch. They came through Ellis Island separately, around 1917. His father was the third of eleven children. The Boomhowers trace back to the arrival of Peter Stuyvesant whose ship docked in New Amsterdam (New York City) on May 11, 1647. Boomhower grew up in Geneva, Ohio surrounded by so many siblings and cousins (paternally and maternally) that he was never short of other kids with whom to play.

His day job is as associate justice of the Second District, Division Six of the California Courts of Appeal, but Steve Perren's passion for the stage has seen him appear in a variety of shows in Ventura County over the years. He played founding father Roger Sherman in Cabrillo Music Theatre's 2012 production of 1776 and has also appeared in numerous operettas staged by the Ventura County Gilbert and Sullivan Repertoire Company. In Panic! Productions' Parade, currently playing at the Hillcrest Center for the Arts, Perren is ideally suited for the part of Judge Leonard S. Roan, who presides over the trial of accused child murderer Leo Frank. Parade deals with the real-life arrest and trial of Frank (played by Joshua Finkel), a Georgia factory superintendent who was accused of murdering 13-year-old factory worker Mary Phagan in 1913. We sat down with Steve during a break in rehearsals for the show, and talked about his unique perspective as an actor who also shares the occupation of the character he portrays.

The Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra (CSO) and the Cincinnati Pops announced highly-anticipated international tours to Asia in March of 2017 with six performances in Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai and Taiwan, as well as the CSO undertaking an extensive, eleven-concert tour across Europe over three weeks in August and September. The Orchestra will be on tour for five total weeks in 2017, performing in 12 cities across seven different countries.

The Menier Chocolate Factory today announces the full company for a major new revival of Tom Stoppard's TRAVESTIES - the first London revival in over 20 years. Patrick Marber directs Clare Foster (Cecily), Freddie Fox (Tristan Tzara), Tom Hollander (Henry Carr), Forbes Masson (Lenin), Peter McDonald (James Joyce), Amy Morgan (Gwendolen), Sarah Quist (Nadya) and Tim Wallers (Bennett). The production - which opens on 4 October, with previews from 22 September and runs until 19 November - is now completely sold out, breaking Menier box office records by becoming the first play to sell out ahead of its opening in the theatre's history.

At the Summer 2016 Television Critics Association press tour today, PBS and American Experience announced that THE GREAT WALL, a six-hour, three-night event, will premiere in April 2017

A widowed New York college professor, Gene, is in a long distance relationship with a woman in California. He wants to marry and move to California, where his girlfriend has her medical practice and is raising her children. Gene's mother is sympathetic although aware of the toll it could take on his father. Family tensions arise as his father disowned his sister for marrying a Jewish man. When his mother suddenly dies, Gene's plans are thrown into disarray. He has lived in the shadow of his towering father, who is expecting him to stay and watch over him. Gene must decide for himself if he'll stay to care for his father or finally move on with his life.

Theatr Clwyd Artistic Director Tamara Harvey today announces the full casting for Edmond Rostand's Cyrano de Bergerac which also features new Welsh poetry from Twm Morys. ?The Cathedral of St. John the Divine, in collaboration with the Manhattan School of Music and Oratorio Society of New York, presents the world premiere of a transcription for organ, vocal soloists, and choruses, of Gustav Mahler's Symphony No. 8, on Thursday, April 7th, at 7:30 p.m. at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine, 1047 Amsterdam Avenue (at 112th Street), Manhattan. In creating a theater piece about Mata Hari, the Dutch-born actress Eva Dorrepaal (www.evadorrepaal.com) found that she shared one quality with the infamous World War I-era spy:  an addiction to dangerous love.  The truth is, you could probably find more similarities if you dig farther, but this is the idea behind her solo show, 'Almost Mata Hari - Lovers, Letters and Killers,' whose premiere run will be presented by Theater for the New City January 7 to 24.
