Rose Hall, home of Jazz at Lincoln Center, Broadway at 60th Street.

The first releases in the collection showcase musicians from Belgium, France and Italy, spotlighting two long respected veterans and a pair of important younger voices. Taken together, Belgian guitarist Philip Catherine, French pianist Jean-Michel Pilc and Italians, drummer Aldo Romano and saxophonist Rosario Giuliani, these artists represent the continuing trend of noteworthy original music emanating from European environs.

The cast includes Natasha Lowe (Blanche), Matt Hawkins (Stanley), Danny McCarthy (Mitch), Jenn Engstrom (Eunice), Loren Lazarine (Steve), Esteban Andres Cruz (Pablo), Stacy Stoltz (Stella), Carolyn E. Nelson (Colored Woman/Matron), Derek Hasenstab (Doctor) and Ryan Hallahan (Young Collector).

The original musical was conceived and directed by Michael Halberstam, adapted by Austin Pendleton with music by Joshua Schmidt and lyrics by Jan Tranen. The Lincoln Center production will be directed by Halberstam. Performances begin on Thursday, April 7, 2011 and opens on Thursday, May 5, 2011 at the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater (150 West 65 Street, New York City).

Artistic Director/CEO Kate Maguire has announced the schedule for the 2010 Berkshire Theatre Festival season. A new production of Bizet's Carmen, directed by Richard Eyre and starring El?na Garan?a in the title role and Roberto Alagna as Don José, premieres at a New Year's Eve gala performance. Garan?a makes her Met role debut as the gypsy femme fatale, reuniting with Alagna following their recent success in these parts at London's Royal Opera, Covent Garden.
