FXX has placed a series order with Marvel Television and FX Productions for the untitled Marvel's Deadpool series, an animated adult action-comedy TV series adaptation of the hit Marvel character Deadpool

Today Shoreditch Town Hall announces an immersive double-bill of Philip Ridley plays, including the world premiere of Killer and a new production of Ridley's contemporary classic The Pitchfork Disney, his first stage play which premiered in 1991. The productions will both be directed by Jamie Lloyd and run in 'The Ditch' basement spaces of Shoreditch Town Hall in spring 2017.

The Public Theater recently announced that Louis Cancelmi, last seen as Caliban in the Shakespeare in the Park production of The Tempest, had stepped into the company of Troilus and Cressida as Achilles, replacing David Harbour, who suffered an injury during previews and will be unable to complete the run. The play celebrates its opening tonight, August 9, after a short delay.

Atlantic Theater Company just announced casting for the world premiere musical The Band's Visit, directed by Lortel and Obie Award winner David Cromer and featuring a book by Drama Desk Award nominee Itamar Moses, an original score by three-time Tony Award nominee David Yazbekand choreography by Lee Sher.

The Old Globe today announced that, due to popular demand, another additional week has been added to the world premiere run of Steve Martin's new play Meteor Shower, which will now play July 30 - September 18, 2016, with opening night on August 7.

Tim Bond-noted director and educator and current Producing Artistic Director at Syracuse Stage and the Syracuse University Department of Drama-has been hired as a full professor at the University of Washington School of Drama.
