Brooklyn Center for the Performing Arts at Brooklyn College welcomes legendary composer/performer and 2008 Theater Hall of Fame inductee Marvin Hamlisch for an elegant evening of unforgettable music on Saturday, April 25, 2009 at 8pm. Mr. Hamlisch holds the distinction of being one of only twelve people to win all four major US performing awards (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony) and one of only two to have won all four of those plus a Pulitzer Prize (the other being Richard Rogers).

Two-time Tony Award winner Bernadette Peters and American Ballet Theatre principal dancers Julie Kent and Marcelo Gomes will join the Lar Lubovitch Dance Company as guest artists at 'Prelude to a Dance,' a gala performance on Wednesday, April 23.

Broadway Cares/ Equity Fights AIDS is proud to present a special performance of PAMELA'S FIRST MUSICAL, a new musical with music by Tony Award® winner Cy Coleman, lyrics by Tony Award® winner David Zippel, book by Tony® & Pulitzer Award winner Wendy Wasserstein and directed by Tony Award® nominee Graciela Daniele, on Sunday, May 18 at 3 PM at Town Hall (123 West 43rd Street) with a reception at Sardi's immediately following. Proceeds will benefit BC/EFA and Theatre Development Fund's Open Doors Program, which Wasserstein founded.

MCC THEATER (Robert LuPone, Bernard Telsey, Artistic Directors; William Cantler, Associate Artistic Director, John G. Schultz, Executive Director), one of New York City's leading Off-Broadway theater companies, will present 'ESCAPE: 6 WAYS TO GET AWAY,' a benefit evening of one-act plays written by Jon Robin Baitz (Ten Unknowns), John Guare (Six Degrees of Separation), Peter Hedges (What's Eating Gilbert Grape), Neil LaBute (The Mercy Seat), Tim Blake Nelson (The Grey Zone) and Wendy Wasserstein (The Heidi Chronicles). 'ESCAPE' will be held on Monday, December 6, 2004, 8pm at Broadway's CIRCLE IN THE SQUARE THEATER (1633 Broadway at West 50th Street, NYC).
