Lynne Meadow and Barry Grove have announced that Tony and Emmy Award winner John Lithgow returns to Broadway in the Manhattan Theatre Club world premiere production of THE COLUMNIST by Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize winner David Auburn, directed by Tony Award winner Daniel Sullivan. In this new play, Lithgow plays noted newspaper columnist Joseph Alsop. This limited engagement will begin previews on Tuesday, April 3 and open Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at MTC's Samuel J. To kick off the comedy series, Bay Street warms up audiences on Saturday, July 2 with RICHARD BELZER. Belzer has played Detective Munch on a record-setting ten different television series- Law & Order, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Law and Order: Trial By Jury, Homicide, The X-Files, The Beat, M.O.N.Y., Sesame Street, The Wire and Arrested Development. He began show business with Groove Tube. Off Broadway credits include THE NATIONAL LAMPOON SHOW with Bill Murray, Gilda Radner and John Belushi, on radio in Brink and Belzer on WNBC; and in film Fame; Author! Author! Night Shift, Scarface, Man on the Moon, Species II, Get on the Bus, Girl 6, A Very Brady Sequel, North, The Bonfire of the Vanities and The Big Picture. Belzer starred in his own HBO comedy special, Another Lone Nut and in the six-part Showtime series The Richard Belzer Show. He also hosted When Cars Attack, Hot Properties, and Crime Stories.

Rubicon Theatre Company continues its 2010-2011 Season with MASTER HAROLD...AND THE BOYS, a powerful and compelling drama by Athol Fugard which begins previews February 9 at Rubicon's intimate 195-seat home in Ventura's Downtown Cultural District. Set in the 1950s, MASTER HAROLD is the story of an adolescent white South African torn between his relationship with the black waiters who have befriended and cared for him, and the principles instilled in him by his father, an injured war veteran who is alternately absent and abusive. Recipient of the New York Drama Desk Award and London's Evening Standard for Best Play, this gripping drama has much to say about how racism can be passed from one generation to the next. Directed by Rubicon Associate Producer BRIAN McDONALD, the production features DANIEL STEWART, ANTHONY (TONY) HANEY and CHRIS MADDOX.
