WaterTower Theatre Producing Artistic Director Terry Martin today announced the directors for the Company's 2013-2014 Main Stage season at the Addison Theatre Centre. Directing the season opener, Hank Williams: Lost Highway (October 11-November 3, 2013) will be Michael Serrecchia. The Game's Afoot (or Holmes for the Holidays) (December 13- January 5, 2014) will be directed by Robin Armstrong. The Adventures of Tom Sawyer (January 24-February 16, 2014) will be directed by Emily Scott Banks. Spunk (April 11-May 4, 2014) will be directed by Akin Babatunde.Good People (June 6-29, 2014) will be directed by Rene Moreno and Dogfight (July 25-August 17, 2014) will be directed by Terry Martin.

'Stravinsky Re-invented: From Paris to Los Angeles,' the second and final weekend of the 24th annual Bard Music Festival in New York'sAnnandale-on-Hudson, follows Igor Stravinsky from Europe to post-war Hollywood, investigating his subsequent shift in style from neoclassicism to serialism. The weekend opens tonight, August 16, with a screening of film clips that document the great Russian innovator, with commentary by Professor Charles M. Joseph, author of Stravinsky Inside Out. This special session is followed by the weekend's first concert, 'Against Interpretation and Expression: The Aesthetics of Mechanization,' a program of postmodernist ensemble classics by Stravinsky, Bartók, Varèse, Hindemith, and Messiaen; soloists include Grammy-nominated pianist Peter Serkin and So Percussion's Eric Beach.

Prospect Theater Company presents its annual gala, 2013's Spring Soiree, in the Harbor View Room at Battery Gardens, a beautiful and unique waterside location nestled at the southernmost corner of Battery Park. This special one-night only event will be held on Monday, May 6 from 6pm - 10:30pm, with an 8pm concert performance, to feature performances by Broadway friends as well as Prospect stars! Guests will be treated to a sneak peek of songs from upcoming 2013 - 2014 Prospect productions, as well as encore performances from previous Prospect shows. The Actors Fund's annual gala tonight, April 29, 2013 at the New York Marriott Marquis will honor Academy Award-winning actor Robert De Niro, the pay television company HBO and entrepreneur/film producer and Fund trustee Steve Kalafer. The trio will receive the Medal of Honor, the highest award from the 130-year old non-profit human services organization.

With her unassuming modesty and intelligence, Meredith Dalglish is no ordinary artist from Portland Oregon. She was an original contributor to Judy Chicago's 1979 feminist installation work 'Dinner Party' now on permanent display at the Brooklyn Museum, New York. Dalglish, an exhibitor in Parallax 'Art' Fair at The Prince George Ballroom in New York 11-12 May, said of her contribution to Chicago's famous work: "I volunteered for 7 months to help Judy get this monumental installation finished. It was my job to take her image based on her fine drawing and translate it into clay to celebrate the life and work of Georgia O'Keeffe." Aware of the problems of art history and appreciating the issues that Parallax raises, she added, "Part of the intention of the 'Dinner Party' was to rewrite art history so that women are made visible and equally important to the male dominated art world. Judy did what you suggest: she created her own community. I have always been involved with early female imagery, such as that in my large scale permanent ceramic installation entitled 'Aphrodite's Dream' at the downtown Atlanta Hilton, Atlanta, GA. created in time for the Olympics held there in 1997. Triangles are a repeated theme in my work, that will also be represented at the upcoming Parallax Art Fair, as this is a healing, spiritual and feminine image.'

BoHo Theatre presents Hauptmann, an examination of truth and media indictment, by lauded Chicago playwright John Logan. The production runs tonight, March 22nd through April 21st at the Heartland Studio in Rogers Park.

The New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA) has announced that author and co-director of the Acquavella Gallery Michael Findlay, composer Elliot Goldenthal, filmmaker Mira Nair and visual artist Fred Wilson will be inducted into the NYFA Hall of Fame on Tuesday, April 23rd at Espace (635 West 42nd Street). The evening begins at 6:30 with a cocktail reception featuring interactive art by past and current NYFA grantees, followed by dinner and remarks from all the honorees. Back by popular demand, Theatre Under The Star (TUTS) will present Monty Python's Spamalot, an outrageous musical comedy lovingly ripped off from the classic film "Monty Python and the Holy Grail." With music and lyrics by the Grammy Award winning team of Eric Idle and John Du Prez and book by Eric Idle, Spamalot makes an irreverent parody of the legend of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table during their quest for the Holy Grail. The production runs March 22nd through April 21st at the Heartland Studio in Rogers Park. Hauptmann is directed by Founding Artistic Director Stephen M. Genovese, who directed the critically acclaimed BoHo productions of The Rainmaker, The Glorious Ones, Sideshow, and I Am My Own Wife. The production features Jeremy Trager in the role of Richard Hauptmann. Trager was recently seen in BoHo's productions of The Spitfire Grill and Tartuffe. Hauptmann represents the Bohemian Pillar of Truth in BoHo's 2012/2013 Season.

Tony and Grammy Award-winning singer and actress Jennifer Holliday will play The Iridium, tonight, February 14, 2013. Best known for her iconic performance of 'And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going' from Dreamgirls, Jennifer will headline The Iridium's annual Valentine's Day celebrations, which feature a special dinner menu and sets at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m.
