The New York Philharmonic will return to Bravo! Vail in Colorado, celebrating its 30th season, for the Orchestra's 15th annual summer residency, July 21-28, 2017. The residency will include six orchestral concerts that honor the Philharmonic's legacy on the occasion of its 175th anniversary season and the conclusion of Alan Gilbert's tenure as Music Director.

Following Odyssey Opera's 2016-17 season dedicated to works inspired by the writings of Oscar Wilde, Artistic and General Director Gil Rose today announced the company's 2017-18 season: Trial by Fire: Joan of Arc and the Hundred Years War, featuring operatic masterpieces that tell the story of martyr, saint, and military leader Joan of Arc (1412-1431). Representing a wide range of styles, Odyssey Opera presents five operas that interpret the mysterious medieval world Joan inhabited. Opening the season is Tchaikovsky's The Maid of Orleans followed by L'assedio di Calais by Gaetano Donizetti, The Trial at Rouen by Norman Dello Joio, Jeanne d'Arc au Bucher by Arthur Honegger, and Giovanna d'Arco by Giuseppe Verdi.

The first London production in over a hundred years of Just To Get Married, a romantic comedy by renowned suffragette Cicely Hamilton opens at the Finborough Theatre for a four week limited season on Tuesday, 25 July 2017.

American Theater Company (ATC) opens the world premiere of Dan Aibel's T. tonight, Thursday, May 25. The Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A) has announced REVEAL, a free, week-long public festival running from 30 June to 7 July 2017.  Art and design commissions, performances, fashion, family activities and collaborations with neighbouring Albertopolis institutions will celebrate the opening of the V&A's Exhibition Road Quarter designed by the Stirling Prize-winning British architect Amanda Levete and her practice AL_A.

 Musical Theatre West presents Rodgers and Hammerstein's musical masterpiece Carousel March 24 - April 9 at the Carpenter Performing Arts Center in Long Beach.  Voted 'the greatest musical of the twentieth century' by TIME magazine, Carousel explores the timeless message of message of love, hope, forgiveness, and redemption.  

In the final subscription concerts of his tenure as Music Director, Alan Gilbert will lead the New York Philharmonic joined by musicians from orchestras around the world in concerts celebrating the power of music to build bridges and unite people across borders. Those invited to participate include members of orchestras from Australia, China, Cuba, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Lebanon, Mexico, Russia, South Africa, South Korea, Turkey, Venezuela, the United Kingdom, and the United States. The program, taking place Thursday, June 8, 2017, at 7:30 p.m.; Friday, June 9 at 8:00 p.m.; and Saturday, June 10 at 8:00 p.m., will include Mahler's Symphony No. 7. Special guest artists will include cellist Yo-Yo Ma, on June 8, and trumpet player Wynton Marsalis, on June 9.

On April 26, 2013, PBS' Live From Lincoln Center presented the New York Philharmonic's production of Rodgers & Hammerstein's iconic American musical, CAROUSEL, featuring a star-studded cast including Kelli O'Hara, Nathan Gunn, Stephanie Blythe, Shuler Hensley, Jason Danieley, and Jessie Mueller.
