A wide range of stories and voices comprise Goodman Theatre's 2015/2016 Season-a 'Big-Bold-Brilliant' line-up, beginning this month.

On Sunday, October 11th, noted silent film composer, accompanist, and historian, Ben Model will provide live accompaniment to the 1925 comedy classic, THE FRESHMAN, starring Harold Lloyd. The movie is 76 minutes in length; is directed by Fred C. Newmeyer and features Jobyna Ralston, Brooks Benedict and James Anderson.

True story: in 1953, iconic L.A. architects Richard Neutra and Rudolph Schindler, onetime friends and business partners who had been bitterly estranged for 23 years, found themselves, by a vagary of fate, occupying the same hospital room in Cedars of Lebanon Hospital. Ensemble Studio Theatre/LA presents a site-specific production in which playwright/director Tom Lazarus imagines what might have transpired during that reunion. Ray Xifo and John Nielsen star as Neutra and Schindler, with Heather Robinson in the role of Nurse Rothstein. The world premiere of THE PRINCES OF KINGS ROAD opens on September 12 for a four-week run at the architecturally significant Neutra Institute and Museum of Silverlake.  The Theatre School at DePaul University's 2015-2016 season features two world premiere productions, reimagined classics, contemporary pieces, and engaging entertainment for the whole family.  Productions for the general public will continue for the third full season at The Theatre School's award-winning new facility in Lincoln Park, and Chicago Playworks for Families and Young Audiences will continue to welcome young people and their families to the historic Merle Reskin Theatre in the South Loop.

The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey will present George Bernard Shaw's comedy Misalliance, directed by Artistic Associate/Casting Director Stephen Brown-Fried. Performances begin Wednesday, August 5th and continue through Sunday, August 30th at the F.M. Kirby Shakespeare Theatre, 36 Madison Avenue (at Lancaster Road) in Madison. July is peak vacation season, and for two hours, audiences can travel with PICT Classic Theatre to the wild southwest coast of Ireland. Sharon's Grave, by Irish audience-favorite John B. Keane, runs tonight, July 16, through August 1, in the Henry Heymann Theatre inside the Stephen Foster Memorial.

Orange County, Calif.—March 31, 2015—Touring the world presenting silent films as they were meant to be seen (and heard!), virtuoso organist Dennis James returns to Pacific Symphony's Pedals and Pipes series to recreate the soundtrack to one of the greatest silent films of all time: Charlie Chaplin's “The Gold Rush.” In his skilled hands, the remarkable William J. Gillespie Concert Organ brings to life all of the drama, romance and hilarity of Chaplin's famous 1925 film, which plays on the big screen. Chaplin is seen in his iconic role as The Little Tramp, this time called The Lone Prospector, as he sets off to Alaska to hit it big in the Gold Rush. Whether boiling his own shoe to keep from starving or running from his delirious cabin mate who thinks he's a chicken, Chaplin's exemplary talent for physical comedy and comedic timing shines with the support of actors Georgia Hale, Mack Swain and Tom Murray. This concert takes place on Sunday, April 26, at 3 p.m. in the Renée and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall.
