Puppets and live performers enact an enigmatic tale of early World War II in 'King Executioner,' the newest creation of Czechoslovak-American Marionette Theatre written and directed by Vit Horejš. The play is loosely based on 'When you are a King, You will be an Executioner' ('A Jak Krolem a Jak Katem Bedzies,' 1968) by the Polish magical realist novelist Tadeusz Nowak (1930-1991). As BroadwayWorld.com first reported this weekend, FOLLIES star Jan Maxwell was hit by a minivan while crossing 45th Street following the Saturday, October 29 matinee. The star suffered injuries to her arm and leg. She was unable to perform on Saturday night and was also be out at the Sunday matinee to stay home and recuperate. Her understudy, Colleen Fitzpatrick, went on in her absence this weekend.
BroadwayWorld has just confirmed with a spokesperson for the show that Maxwell is back and better, and will resume performances tonight, November 1.

BroadwayWorld.com has confirmed the news with a production spokesperson that FOLLIES star Jan Maxwell was hit by traffic while crossing 45th Street following the Saturday, October 29 matinee. Online reports indicated that the star had been hit by a minivan, suffering injuries to her arm and leg. She was unable to perform on Saturday night and will also be out at the Sunday matinee to stay home and recuperate. She hopes to make a speedy recovery and get back to performing on stage at the Marquis Theatre, which could be as soon as Tuesday evening, November 1.
