Cabrillo Music Theatre has announced their upcoming shows in the 2010 - 2011 season. Cabrillo Music Theatre is an Ovation Award Winner and the Resident Musical Production Company at the Bank of America Performing Arts Center at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza, the largest theatre between Los Angeles and San Francisco. For over three decades, Cabrillo has enriched life in Southern California, providing extraordinary performing arts through live musical theatre. Cabrillo is a volunteer based non-profit theatre company presenting award-winning musicals with full, live orchestras, lavish sets and costumes, and premier talent. Cabrillo Music Theatre's mission is to introduce the musical theatre experience to socially, culturally, economically diverse, and underserved populations of Southern California. Cabrillo's 2009-2010 Season anticipates reaching more than 100,000 people through our main stage, off-stage, and special productions, as well as our award-winning OUTREACH programs. Since 2005, Cabrillo's OUTREACH programs have included over 27,000 underserved, Title I children, in-need seniors, and active military troops, all free of charge.

Joseph V. Melillo, executive producer of the Brooklyn Academy of Music, today announced programming for the BAM 2011 Spring Season, which runs from Jan 7 through Jun 11, 2011. The season comprises eight theater, opera, and dance engagements and features BAMcinématek series, BAMcafé Live weekend music events, artist talks, visual art exhibitions, and literary events.

Part of the Arts and Ideas series of performances, lectures and conversations, The Friend Center for the Arts at the Jewish Community Center of San Francisco (JCCSF) today announced details of its comprehensive Performing Arts programming for 2010/11. The Orange County Performing Arts Center's Free or All series continues this summer with the enormously popular and eagerly awaited return of free Movie Mondays on the community plaza. This year's line-up will be the biggest and best ever with five great movies: the timeless classic The Wizard of Oz with Judy Garland; the screwball comedy Some Like it Hot starring Marilyn Monroe, Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon; the Dickensian musical Oliver! being presented in partnership with public radio station KCRW-Santa Monica (89.9 FM and www.KCRW.com); the coming-of-age story Dirty Dancing featuring Jennifer Grey and Patrick Swayze; and the inspiring documentary about New York City school students learning to dance in Mad Hot Ballroom, which was chosen in an audience poll last summer.
