Burning Coal Theatre Company will open its 20th season in Raleigh, North Carolina with David Hare's Skylight, a love story about a brashly swaggering, politically conservative middle-aged businessman in the hotels and restaurants trade who stumbles back into the life of a progressive-minded, younger woman with whom he had a tempestuous affair years  before.  The play will run Thursdays through Saturdays, Oct. 6-9, 13-15 and 20-22, 2016 at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays, October 9, 16, and 23, 2016 at 2 p.m. Performances will take place at Burning Coal's Murphey School Auditorium, 224 Polk Street, Raleigh, NC 27604.

Irish Repertory Theatre has announced its Fall 2016 Season. On the Francis J. Greenburger Mainstage will be FINIAN'S RAINBOW, adapted and directed by Irish Rep Artistic Director Charlotte Moore, and starring Melissa Errico ('Billions', Encores! Reagle Music Theatre of Greater Boston will bring the bright lights of 1920's New York City to the stage with the Tony Award-winning musical comedy Thoroughly Modern Mille from July 7-17, 2016.  Millie will run for eight performances at the Robinson Theatre (617 Lexington St. Waltham, MA, 02452).  Directed by Broadway veteran Cynthia Thole (Me and My Girl), Millie will star Gabrielle Carrubba (American Idol Season 11, Spring Awakening) as Millie Dillmount, a small-town girl who arrives in New York City to lead a thoroughly modern life. Millie will also feature Maryann Zschau (Nunsense National Tour) reprising her IRNE Award-winning role as Mrs. Meers (Reagle Music Theater 2006) and IRNE nominee Mark Linehan (Shrek The Musical, South Pacific) as Trevor Graydon.  This lavish musical is filled with fabulous flappers, eccentric New Yorkers and soaring musical numbers including "Forget About the Boy" and "Only In New York."  

The 70th Annual Tony Awards are this Sunday June 12th at 8/9c hosted by James Corden. It's the biggest award show of the Broadway season and it closes out a long awards season for Broadway and Off-Broadway musicals and plays. We can't help but wonder what chances this year's Best Musical and Best Play nominees have of taking home the ultimate prize.

The full programme has today been announced for the inaugural FRAME London Dance Film Festival. The vast programme of films and events is to take place from 9 to 12 June 2016 in Kingston-upon-Thames, London. Presented by the UK's pioneering dance company BalletBoyz in association with dancescreen, the festival is set to offer a unique opportunity to enjoy the best creative talent in dance and film to the general public, as well engaging broadcasters, video artists and choreographers. Over the three days, there are over 122 films screening with 11 World Premieres, 8 International, 4 European and 28 UK Premieres amongst the new work. These will be presented alongside classic films for all ages led by a celebration of Gene Kelly, dance performances and outdoor and family activities at various venues across the town.

People's Light presents the regional premiere of A SINGLE SHARD, a highly theatrical adaptation of Linda Sue Park's Newbery Award-winning novel by Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize-winner Robert Schenkkan.

59E59 Theaters will host the US premiere of TOAST, written by Richard Bean and directed by Eleanor Rhode.
