World Premiere Musical WONDERLAND Moves to Alley Theatre; Opens 1/20

Alley Theatre presents the world premiere of the new musical Wonderland about Alice, a children's book writer in Manhattan who is suffering through a creative block, estranged from her husband and alienated from her daughter. It takes a trip to a strange-yet-familiar Wonderland for her to regain her life's balance and again find the love and everyday magic that reside in us all - if we know how to look. With a book by Alley Theatre Artistic Director Gregory Boyd and Jack Murphy (The Civil War), lyrics by Jack Murphy, music by Frank Wildhorn (Jekyll & Hyde, The Scarlett Pimpernel, The Civil War), and directed by Gregory Boyd, Wonderland begins previews Friday, January 15, opens officially Wednesday, January 20 and runs through Sunday, February 14.

Set in the repressed atmosphere of a modern Catholic boarding school, this brave and original adaptation spins the tale of "star-cross'd lovers" into a journey of astonishing discoveries.

Jerry Zaks' 'Who Do You Love' Coming to Movie Theaters Spring 2010

Famed director Jerry Zaks' film 'Who Do You Love' is set to open in theaters in Spring of 2010. 'Who Do You Love' is a biopic of the record producer Leonard Chess written by Peter Martin Wortmann and Robert Conte, and directed by Zaks. Leonard Chess was played by Alessandro Nivola and other cast included David Oyelowo. It was filmed in New Orleans in 2008, and premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival.

Variety reports the indie ensemble drama 'Multiple Sarcasms' will receive a theatrical release in March, 2010. Initially, the release will take place in Los Angeles, San Fransisco, and New York. 'Multiple Sarcasms' stars Broadway's Stockard Channing, Timothy Hutton and Dana Delaney, as well as Mira Sorvino and Mario Van Peebles.
