With Ellis Island still recovering from the devastating damage of Hurricane Sandy and despite a storm that whipped through New York Harbor with hail and winds that toppled trees, the 27th National Ethnic Coalition of Organization's annual Medal of Honor Gala went off with military precision on historic island thanks to the efforts of NECO Chairman Nasser J. The Ringwald Theatre will present August: Osage County from May 10-June 3, 2013. Capping off a successful 'Season of Family', The Ringwald has indeed saved what is arguably the best for last; certainly the biggest for last. The Ringwald has had great success with the plays of Tracy Letts in the past, producing two of his works: Bug and Killer Joe. August: Osage County promises to be every bit as compelling as his past works.

Rattlestick Playwrights Theater's Artistic Director David Van Asselt and Managing Director Brian Long have announced the cast and creative team for the world premiere of Basilica, written by Mando Alvarado and directed by Jerry Ruiz. Basilica will begin performances on Wednesday, May 8th, 2013 at the Cherry Lane Theatre at 38 Commerce Street. The official opening night is set for Thursday, May 23rd at 7pm. The production is scheduled to run through June 16th.
