The Woodstock Mozart Festival expands its venue options for its 28th season to include the Woodstock Opera House and, new this year, the Sanfilippo Foundation's Place de la Musique concert hall in Barrington Hills. Performances take place July 24-August 10. Single tickets go on sale April 7.

The Dramatists Guild Fund presented their Madge Evans and Sidney Kingsley Award to actress Linda Lavin and playwright Lynn Nottage this past Monday evening. Tonight, October 11, 2012, at New York's Symphony Space, the Chuns continue their tribute to the Hungarian composer with "Folk Inflections with Angela and Jennifer Chun," a program featuring a second set of selections of the Bartok duos along with some of Luciano Berio's Duetti per due violini, which were written in homage to Bartok; Edmund Rubbra's Phantasy for two violins and piano; and Bartok's Roumanian Folk Dances for violin and piano, which the performers have arranged for two violins and piano.

WORKS will present an unprecedented staged reading of the critically-acclaimed play, "Steel Magnolias" at The Broad Stage in Santa Monica. In partnership with playwright Robert Harling, FOUR THINGS PRODUCTIONS is honored to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of this remarkable story written for Harling's sister whom he lost through complications of diabetes. This very special performance will be directed by two-time Tony Award winner Judith Ivey and will feature multiple Emmy nominee and Golden Globe-winning actress Frances Conroy, Golden Globe and Emmy-nominee Elizabeth Perkins, Jennifer Coolidge and Golden Globe and Emmy nominee Annie Potts, along with additional cast members to be announced shortly. Conroy is replacing the previously-announced Kathy Bates in the role of Ouiser due to a scheduling conflict.
